Add me to list. So sounds like no real fix?

I have a 2024 with the 12" screen. Same problem as others, the gauges on the screen don't work most of the time. Offroad screen tends to work more often than the other screen. Sometimes a gauge on the main dashboard doesn't work either. The outline/icon is there but no reading although this happening is more rare. I also get this ghosting of the icons for the screen pages at the bottom when I switch screen. Like if I'm on Nav and switch to Media, the Media icon duplicates itself for a few seconds. There's been countless times where one function or another just hangs. I'm really disappointed with it. Myself, I would never trust the advanced safety/driving features to pay extra for them if they can't get a few gauges to display properly.

Chris, I bought my truck on Wednesday with 20 miles. The next morning with 50 miles the gauge is also stopped working. 2024 3500 bighorn. The dealership also said they’ve never heard of this problem but they should be able to get me in in about 4 to 5 weeks.

I have a 2024 3500 Limited Night Edition with 3,000 miles and have the digital instrument panel, the oil temp gauge will display the digital temperature but the blue ring does not works. Truck was at the dealership for the past week and a half waiting on the new part. Part arrived and I picked up my truck yesterday hoping it would work correctly. Unfortunately I experienced the same problem

I have noticed that the '25 UConnect screen is more glitch-y than the 2024 which was more glitch-y than the 2022 that I had. I noticed I could re-set the uconnect gauges by turning on the head lights and turning them back off.
Seems like they continue to add features and options without increasing the memory or the processing speed of the system.

The system needs a hardware upgrade.

I have a UC5 Retrofit in my 2019, and initially none of the gauges worked on the UC5. I thought it was just because I did a retrofit and eventually accepted that they would never work. However I've noticed that on 1 out of every 5 or 6 start ups, most of them do indeed work. I also noticed on the days where they do not work, all the values are in Celsius, but on the days where they do work, all the values change to Fahrenheit. Probably a result of what i assume is a pile of spaghetti code that makes up the Uconnect firmware.

Are there any newer firmware updates out there since around October last year?

My 24 with 12” screen shows “widgets not loading” when it doesn’t work.

The gauges in off road page always work. Scales don’t match the instrument panel, but numbers do.
The gauges on the trailer page work about 5% of the time.
When they do, on the second page, the lone gauge is either exhaust brake or battery voltage. It’s random.
Why they can’t all be on one page is a mystery.
They don’t match the colors of the digital gauges on the instrument panel or the font.
This software has a lot of bugs, but it still is MY23…hoping one day it will be solved.

Lee, I have this exact problem (Oil temp digital readout seems to work but the blue marker on the gauge stopped tracking) that just started at around 26K miles. Did you ever find a resolution for yours? Thanks, Al

Hi Al,

I apologize for such a late response. I have been working with RAM Cares and my local dealer. We are now replacing the 12” cluster for the third time. I hope that the third time is the charm. Right now the cluster is on back order from the manufacturer

Unless the new cluster has a new part number, most likely to reflect an update of some sort, the new one will most likely have the same issue.

Hi Lee, No problem. I hope the new cluster works for you. My 14” cluster seems to display all the gauges correctly, it’s just the digital dash and just the oil temp that has the problem. The oil temp on the 14” displays correctly so I’ guessing it is not a sensor but rather a software issue or something hardware-wise related to the digital dash.

I have had this issue every time I use the page to see the additional gauges. The gauges are there, but not registering anything. I have found that tuning on the headlights and back off (changes the screen color) makes them work everytime.
The new Uconnect is slow. Maybe needs more memory?

The headlight trick is interesting, I'll have to try it.
