Are LED trailer lights the cause of Towing Light Check not working?

Hope you get your trailer page stuff working

In the meantime you can check your trailer lights by simply turning on your parking lights and flashers and doing a walkaround. Every trailer I’ve ever seen has combo brake/turn lights so this method will test all of the trailer lights except reverse (if equipped)

The tried and true way. Not sure I would trust the truck to verify my trailer lights are operational if equipped. After all, the truck isn’t paying the fine lol.

Actually it is slower than the old method. You still have to walk around the trailer and sometimes wait for the lights to light up. I often wait since all don't light at one. The turn signals, brake lights, backup lights all take turns in sequence.

Wow - that is a seriously slow network in these trucks.

I do the walk around but I paid for a lot for a truck that has bells and whistles. In addition to the check lights function not working, all of the towing page information gauges, TPMS etc doesn't work either. Pisses me off to pay good money and be told "we can't figure out how to fix it." At this point, I'm not sure anyone gives a damn. What do you say @RamCares ? It's been a month since I've hear from the dealer.

You are right, they really don't care. For sure Ram doesn't and dealers that do give a $hit are hard to find.

Yup, if I ever have to replace my truck (god forbid) it won’t be a Ram.

Hello, @stevemetz!

We've since responded to your private message. Hoping to reconnect again soon.

Well, time for another update. The functions on the Tow page worked several times without anyone making any changes. Sometimes it works with or without a trailer attached, sometimes it doesn't. Now the home screen will get stuck between 2 displays, it loses connectivity to our phones, and on and on. I've told the dealer that if no one can give me an answer, replace the processor unit that controls the UConnect. Waiting on approval now.

Yep, sounds like a Uconnect problem. They'll probably just remove/replace the thing. Related to your initial issue, I had problems with LED running lights the first time I hooked up my trailer, but 'magically' started working fine, and haven't had any issues the last few times with my camper. These Uconnect systems are terrible. I'd love if Chrysler got a better/different infotainment supplier.
