What did you do TO your RAM today?

Installed the Decked bed storage system.

The Decked box arrived late yesterday so today was install day. Shout out to TogaLock77 for turning me onto a discount site plus free shipping. The box arrived perfect, no dents, dings or problems. Everything was inside, no missing parts. I ordered a lot of the accessory boxes since I got some money off. The install went well, it took a lot longer than I anticipated but then it always does. I purposefully took my time to make sure I didn’t put it in backwards the first time like I usually do !! I had to do a lot of nut and bolt installation for assembly, nothing too hard just tedious. The video from the company is a big help as well as entertaining.

nice work kimo. I love that set up, all that storage for tools and stuff is awesome and you still have use of your bed to haul stuff in. If I didn't have a hitch that took up 1/2 the bed I would seriously consider that.
Im not quite as ambitious in my ole age, it took mute 3wks but I'm finally done. Got the house washed and waxed and protected and the truck washed and protected and polished. I use the mcguires wash with carnuba in it so it waxes to some degree, but after 4 months I still haven't felt the need to hand wax it ( like I did the house) as it still looks like it came off the show room floor, actually better as far as I'm concerned. Not a day goes by do I regret the build purchase. I'm always comparing mine to all the others that pull in the campgrounds and I still love my billet bee the best, I'm biased.

Lookin good Rich. You got the Billet Bee shining like a new penny. I’m a big fan of the wash and wax products too. I also use a ceramic hybrid wash on my TT to keep it looking good. Thats a big job hand waxing your 5ver, good for you investing the time. I can tell you also take pride in taking good care of your stuff.

Glad to hear you’re still happy with your truck. I am too.

Looks good! I'm glad you found the discount. Hoping to have some updates on my 2500 this Tuesday. People are starting to ask if I'm ever going to be done tinkering with my truck. Probably not.

Im realizing that it never ends, I just wish my wife could accept that. For some reason she doesn't like the idea of a $ 100,000 pick up truck

I bought my first HD “yesterday “. This has always been my dream truck. Still doesn’t feel real.

She's a beaute, love that sport pkg. I'm with yah on the dream, after 4.5 months, I still can't believe she's real and she's mine. Congrats and enjoy.

That looks good. It looks like it was an easy bolt on.

It wasn't the easiest project I have done. Once you center everything (I used two pieces of 1/4 inch rubber to space it to the grill) and mark the holes in the top of the bumper, drilling was easy. Ended up drilling to 1/2 inch and I used some grade 8 zinc coated bolts I had. The hard part was getting the nuts on the outer bolt holes. I removed the fog light covers and used a mechanical finger to start the ny-lock nuts. Snaking a wrench into the opening wasn't too bad. The inner bolts and nuts closest to the center of the bumper were not too bad. I snaked my hand up through the center of the bumper and tightened everything down. I have a light bar coming this week to mount on the two remaining tabs. Breaks the front end up. That is the part I like. This truck has been a blast!IMG_5223.jpeg

haha yeah i remember when I worked on cars as a job it was always a pain in the ass to fasten and find bolts back up in those places. Looks awesome though so it was worth it!

Thanks. Yep, I'm getting too old to crawl around on cars like I used to but it is still fun. I am pleased with it. It will look better when I get the light bar installed. Just a couple more mods and this one is done. Yeah right...

Reminds me of when I put my front receiver hitch on my old 16 model. Figured easy breezy, unbolt tow hooks, bolt hitch and hooks back on. Holy mackerel, 4 hrs later, my knuckles look like I went 12 with Rocky balboa.

Those look great. I have the same color 2500 except a Megacab. Love the wheels and tire combo too. Is yours leveled or stock?

My truck is stock at the moment. Waiting to see how it sits when I install a RSI topper at the first of the year. Based on how it sits then I may level but I probably will not. I need a slight rake for when I pull my camper. Thanks for the compliments. Post up some pics of the Mega cab!

Ok, who's gonna be the first one of you guys to make a 5th wheel hitch fit on THAT!!!!!

@Kimo7 I just ordered me Decked set, am interested to know if the in bed tie downs were in the way or needed to be modified. Your pictures show ne you have them but I cannot zoom in enough to see if you had issues or modified. Also do the bed lights get in the way, and manual switch still remain in reach?
Thanks in advance, it will be a couple of weeks before I get this I am guessing so jut looking to prepare incase I need to move things around. I do use the tie downs in the bed
