I have a 2020 Ram 3500 with factory hitch/tow package. I tried to insert my hitch pin and it fits perfectly through the passenger side hole but will not go through on the drivers side. The passenger side seems to be 5/8” and the driver side seems to be 1/2”. Has anyone else ran into this? Or has Ram came out with a special hitch pin? Just wanted to ask before I drill the hole out bigger. Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

3500 has a 2-1/2" receiver.
Are you using a 2-1/2" hitch or using the adapter sleeve?
Just curious as maybe there's an alignment issue. Have you actually tried inserting it from the driver side?
I've had no issue with my 2020.

My 2020 3500 hitch is 5/8" on the 2 1/2" receiver and the 2"sleeve. No 1/2" holes

The only issue that I had was that I needed a new pin, as the one for my old 2“ that i had on my F250 wasn’t long enough for the 2.5” receiver. But a standard pin fits from both sides.
Mystery Solved, upon closer inspection of my Hitch, I noticed that the driver side Hitch Pin hole, had a 1/16" round weld splatter just inside of the hole on the very top. I could not see this when looking down. I was able to knock the weld splatter out with a chisel without any additional problems. The Hitch Pin fits perfectly now! Thank You for all the replies!
