I’ve spent hours building out various configurations for a ‘26 3500, and looking for input in a few areas.

1) Is there any way to get the fender flares on lower end trims, or are they only offered on Limited?

2) Is there any way to get the body color painted grill trim, other than getting the Night Edition pkg?

3) Does the Sport hood serve any purpose beyond cosmetics?

I favor a basic truck, with less stuff to break down. But I want the BEST headlights available, adaptive cruise, and a few other goodies. If I start with a Tradesman or Bighorn, and add the things I want, the price goes up to nearly the same a Laramie. It would be nice to pick options individually, without ordering a package, but I guess that’s not how it works. I really don’t need Drowsy Driver Detection LOL… Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.

I'm pretty sure the LED headlights on the upper trims are same as the lower trims for 2025 and up models. I also believe the same goes for adaptive cruise. I get the 'want' for the appearance parts on a lower trim truck. I don't know the exact company, but there is one that sells components already painted. Look for a member build on here where the guy added flares already painted out of the box; its a white dually.

As far as the sport hood, yes it's just appearance; not functional.
