What did you do TO your RAM today?

Evening all;
Did a maintenance day on my new to me 2022. Starting with the cabin air filter, then both fuel filters, then the engine air filter, then oil filter and 3 gallons of Rotella T6 5W-40.
I was cussing the engineer and bean counter that collaborated on the worst place they could to have the filter. Getting the old one out wasn't bad, but getting the new one to screw back on was a royal pain.
32000 miles on her.

What cabin filter are you guys using? I picked up a Bosch and I feel like it’s restrictive to the airflow. I’d trade some filtering for some volume

Done with the wiring for now. No real clean way to route wires without tearing the dash apart, and I'm not up for that...

I know you don't have a center console but I used the Vice Auxbeam mounting kit and couldn't be happier. Worked just as described. (Sorry, not great pics....)

Just did mine this weekend for the first time. I bought the T- handle screw in plug for the oil filter. Stops oil from spilling out when you tilt the filter to get it out. But I agree, getting the filter back on was a PIA. The new 25+ trucks, the oil filter in on top the motor now :/

Oil change (PUP + WIX), and some new shoes (275/70R18 BFG KO3s)

These tires feel so much more supple and confidence-inspiring than the Transforce "ATs". Heading out to the lake this weekend, and I'll drag my camper out on the beach. We'll see how they test in those conditions, but 1000% more tread for that task compared to what I had on there before. As a bonus, the truck looks better too.1759763772290.png

Oil Change using Amsoil. Also changed the trans fluid. used amsoil there as well. oddly enough swapping out the factory to amsoil dropped trans temps from 167 to 163. also installed new tires.

The installers didnt balance them right, nor did they put enough air in the tires. when i say not enough air, they were at 23 psi. when they asked me what i wanted i told them 65 front, 75 rear. but fixed that as well.

Added ditch lights using $60 brackets off of Amazon. But, my ditch lights are actually amber strobes. I needed forward facing strobes in addition to my rear facing amber and red strobes. I commute 15 miles one way through rural farm country and that road gets treacherous due to fog, black ice, and snow drifts. I already ran into heavy fog a couple of days ago.

Anyway, the brackets fit perfect and were easy to install. No idea why anyone would pay $200 for similar brackets.

Oil change (PUP/Wix) and rotate last night. Did the cowl clean out(was fine save for a few leaves) and checked the cabin filter as that seems to be a hot topic lately.

Final camping trip this coming weekend. Gave the trailer and hitch the once over. Found a wet bolt on trailer suspension that has some slop so not happy there. Trailer probably only has 3000 miles, if that.

Changed oil on the CRV and Legacy in the driveway as well. Rain and cooler weather on the way so I took advantage.
