2025 Ram 3500 Edge Insight CTS3 Monitor

Ok maybe it’s not completely shut off. All I know is if I go to the Home Screen with the truck off, the gauge cluster and CTS3 screen are both completely dark if I go check it about 10 minutes later. Maybe it’s not shut off but it’s certainly draining less battery juice with all the lights off.

I’ll continue using this technique until the software update is released. Better than plugging in and unplugging it all the time in my opinion.

Weird. I just updated mine this weekend and it still remains lit up, even tho the gauge cluster shuts off. Can you see what your firmware version is? I will pass that info along to Edge to see if that helps them figure it out quicker.

Since you said you updated yours last weekend I went out and updated mine. Now the gauge cluster turns off but the CTS3 stays on. Dammit.

Ffffffffffffffffffffff. Did you write down the old firmware version first?

Actually. It does still turn off. It just takes a few minutes longer than the gauge cluster. So it still turns off when it’s on the Home Screen.

Are you using UpdateAgent? It tells you the version when you plug it in.

Fingers crossed it doesn't drain your battery now if it didn't before.
I told them I feel like I'm gonna wear out the HDMI port unplugging it every day. Wish they'd hurry the heck up.
It's hard for me to remember because my Duramax I don't touch a thing and I don't even think about it. And then I hop in the Cummins and forget half the time to unplug it. Not sure I'd remember going to the home screen any better.

Yeah I’ve forgot to go to the Home Screen a few times.

I just update using WiFi not UpdateAgent.

I agree though, I wish they’d move it along with the fix.

You can change the timeout settings in display. I have not updated mine yet. But going Home Screen first does work and everything shuts down. Now to replace my intercooler that I took a rock driving back from Yellowstone to AZ. Plus FL tire pressure says low but reading 64psi what gives.

Side note truck regen twice going to Yellowstone using arch oil fuel additive but I ran out so none used driving home and didn’t regen once. Dpf got to 10 percent and back to zero with no active regen on the 1100 miles home

The 5th Gen HD Ram TPMS system is a temperamental beast and I have the same problem...it lights up that TP light in the dash with the least amount of provocation. You have to air up past the lowest TPMS pressure threshold (I think that is 65PSI all around on a 3500) then you can air back down to a minimum of 65.

On my 2500 minimum PSI is 55 Front / 65 Rear. I was up on the Rim late last month camping and my fronts dropped to 51 and now I have that damn light on my dash. I want to remedy that issue and go with some different tires. I found a solution, which isn't available for your 2025 yet, and that's AlfaOBD. With a security bypass cable, a OBD port link and the AlfaOBD software on your Windoze PC or Android phone you can get into the Body Control Module (BCM) and set the TPMS warning limit to a lower PSI. With the help of a buddy I will be doing that soon!

So air up past 65 PSI, then air down to the PSI you desire as long as it's above the minimum. Since it is cooling off here in AZ your tires will lose some pressure due to lower ambient temps at night so that light will come back on. I'm living with it for now but will fix that soon with the AlfaOBD tool.

I'm not sure when the AlfaOBD developer will get around to a 2025 model year update but I'd check out his website and monitor it for a while. You can also contact him through the website.

Good Luck!!!

AlfaOBD

I'd kindly ask we keep this thread on topic with CTS3 discussion. There are already plenty of threads about TPMS/TPIS with the solution to your guys' issue.

The way the alerts work is that they come on when your sensor sees a pressure below 80% of your door sticker. To remove the warning, you must air the tire up to the sticker pressure or higher. Wait for the warning to clear. Then, you can air your tire back down to no less than 80% of the door sticker if you don't want the warning to come back on.

@fltengkev you're spot on. I go to the Home screen before powering the truck off, and everything is happy. I just let the truck sit a full 9 days with several times opening the doors and triggering the lights to come on during that time, and I had zero battery issues starting it today. If it was going to drain it, it would have been dead by today. Someone mentioned a setting for the time to go to sleep mode, but I searched thru 100% of the settings and didn't see that setting.

Updating something as I’m writing this. Doubt it supports the 2025 model year and two new batteries later I don’t trust plugging it in and going to the Home Screen or even plugging in and forgetting to unplug it. This trucks throw all kind of codes when the batteries die

Ya people need to get with their dealers and ask to have their trucks BCM switched from TPMS to TPIS. For some reason FCA has been sending all the 2025+ DRW trucks out on the market with TPMS which is crazy.

Tire Pressure Information System (TPIS)
3500 Series Trucks
Your vehicle may be equipped with a TPIS.
The TPIS uses wireless technology with wheel rim
mounted electronic sensors to transmit tire pressure
levels. Sensors mounted to each wheel as part of
the valve stem transmit tire pressure readings to the
receiver module

Edit: I emailed Edge after having my truck die for the first/only time since I began setting the CTS3 to HOME before shutting truck off. Only thing I did differently was remote started the truck for the first time. They confirmed that remote starting doesn't boot their CTS3 up correctly and hence, it doesn't power down correctly, either. She told me to unplug the unit if I remote start. Guess I'll be buying an OBD cable with built-in on/off switch so I don't have to keep unplugging it.

I’m at the point I’m going to just sell this thing and move on from their products. I’m not going to trust is after trying different things and having to replace the batteries already because they’ve gone dead too many times. So many codes and issues with these trucks once they go dead. One instance I couldn’t even move the shifter. It’s nice tracking regen cycle but no worth the hassle. It’s a dash ornament at this point

My CTS3 received an update today ( Jan 7, 2026 ) still does not go to sleep when truck is shut down
.ps it actually tells you it is going to sleep when i connect it to my 2019 Cherokee. ( before the update )

Are any of you actually emailing Edge to put the pressure on them to get this thing figured out? I feel like I'm the only one who is.

They are just SLOW. Took them 18 months to fix the error on load readings, when they knew what update caused the issue.
