Map update on a 21

So I decided to buy the map update since it was on sale and mine are probably from 21. Instructions state the truck has to be on for the whole install, which sucks but ok. Supposed to take 30 minutes so I went to the barber this morning and got there a bit early to start the install. 45 minutes later...44% complete. Well, I gotta get home, so against the instructions I drove the 5 minutes home...Up to 60%. So I left it running and THREE HOURS LATER it's not done. Apparently that's the install, why it needs to install when its on a USB drive makes no sense. So then I start the actual upgrade. Says 13 minutes remaining. 20 minutes later 11% complete. Screw that, I'm not letting my truck run for 5 ******* hours to install a simple map pack! I'm traveling next Saturday about an hour away, so I guess I'll try the install then. This is insanity, but now that I spent the $100 on the map update I want to actually finish it.

which update is it? I am thinking about updating mine to this product S18PL20-E0024-3025 ...

I’ll have to check, don’t remember. Finally got it done, took another 90 minutes to update the maps (all while saying just 13 minutes remaining).

What is the date, price and part number on the update. I have been using Apple Car Play since it is always up to date. But do like to update the truck every few years.

Good Lord, this is so painful. My 5 year traffic and travel link expired. Quick check on the NAV screen and no traffic this last trip. Hit information button and it says I need a new map. First I talk to (I thought) RAM (it was a chrysler website) . Nope it's actually Uconnect who seem to be part of Sirius. They get me to put the radio in dealer mode and can't get a map update until I update the entire system - so two USB sticks with a 'you can brick your system' caution.

Then I asked about the real-time traffic which is now missing. Sirius tells me I have to talk to Guardian (also part of Sirius depending upon which rep you talk to). Then, nope, you don't have Guardian and need to talk to SiriusXM for travel link and traffic. Back to the earlier phone number and offshore customer service who insisted I wanted to re-activate my service - NO I only wanted to know how much it cost..... $126 for the two USB sticks to update the 4C and maps. Given that nobody seems to know what company they work for, I called the selling dealer - yep leave it running and he has seen it take 9 hours or more - they would have to do the same thing. Wish I had known this before two 17 hour runs last weekend. But dealer said I could connect to home wifi is close enough and it will download the 4C update at least.

Tried using Android Auto - only got a 3x3 inch nav screen with garbage filling up the display around it - useless.

Any sale source for the map update?

It was on sale back when I bought it, $99. Its the 2024 update (which I assume means each update comes out the following year, ie 2025 will be out in 2026...): D18PL20-E0024-2671

I just updated my 2019 to the 2025 map, it took about 40 minutes. It came with a software update (40.1) which I already had, so I just did the map update....
