Right, I mentioned at this point they owe me an oil change…Hard to find competent help these days. You end up wearing out the truck driving to the dealership. LOL

Ah I misunderstood I thought it was just the brakes.
I can report back that the brake Control switch under the radio fixed the issue. I now have trailer brakes and working lights! The pulsing doesn’t surprise me. If you hook up a trailer you’ll hear the brake magnets clicking as the brake controller pulses them to detect when they’re connected.
So they must have all of that crap running through the brake controller on the 25s, more stupid designs to overcomplicate thingsI can report back that the brake Control switch under the radio fixed the issue. I now have trailer brakes and working lights!
Yea they couldn’t just leave it alone and had to change everything…. I’m just glad they got it fixed. We leave for 3500 mile camping trip on Thursday. It would’ve been pretty difficult to pull that off without lights and brakes! So they must have all of that crap running through the brake controller on the 25s, more stupid designs to overcomplicate things

It’s the trailer brake control switch located on your dash (that you can squeeze). Someone else had the same problem and I found a post from them. I contacted their dealership to see what the fix was and they said engineer showed up at their dealership to look at that truck and determined it was the trailer brake control switch. My dealership replaced it and it fixed my issue also.I recently purchased a 2025 Ram Rebel 2500 and went on our first camping trip this past weekend with it. When i connected the 7 pin to the truck, the first thing i noticed was the Light check feature initiated automatically. This may be by design but i thought from reading the manual that the this had to be user initiated in the Uconnect menu. I had the truck lights turned on and immediately when i pulled out my driveway, I received the “Trailer Break Disconnected” message followed by “Service Trailer Break System” and the constant dinging. This happened multiple times. I don’t believe i actually lost power to the breaks, which seems to be common in other posts. When i turned the truck lights off, i did not have anymore issues and once i turned the truck lights on again, immediately the messaged reappeared. Whenever i tried to cancel the Light Check feature, it would allow me to cancel for a few seconds and then started again automatically. I haven’t checked any of the trailer wiring yet (travel trailer is a 2025 as well) as I’m hoping this is a truck issue and have an appointment tomorrow with the dealership. I’ll provide an update after the dealership hopefully solves my issue.
I have exactly the same problem, let me know what they find. It can be a safety issue since when the message pops up you have no trailer brakes.I recently purchased a 2025 Ram Rebel 2500 and went on our first camping trip this past weekend with it. Yes, that old plug configuration has been an issue for some trucks. Start by replacing the trailer cable. Hopefully that fixes your issue.Looking at this, apparently I need to replace the 7pin plug on my camper View attachment 87562

How did you manage to get the dealer to change out the controller? I tested my trailer lights today on ky new Ram 2500 and they blink intermittently, turn off then back on. I’ve only had this truck two daysI can report back that the brake Control switch under the radio fixed the issue. I now have trailer brakes and working lights!
How did you convince the dealer to do this. My truck has the same issue but they won't fix it without some service bulletin telling them they have to. Any Dodge dealers names numbers?I can report back that the brake Control switch under the radio fixed the issue. I now have trailer brakes and working lights!
I had this same issue and kept going around with my dealer. I had my travel trailer in the shop for warranty work so I wasn't pushing the issue with Ram.How did you manage to get the dealer to change out the controller?
