Anyone buy a 2025 Cummins yet?

Well, the 2025 Cummins is able to have updates for both the engine and transmission "flashed" to it at the dealer, they did install an update the first time it was at the dealer but it doesn't seem to have fixed anything. I remain hopeful, mostly because I have no choice.
Bad Rf Hubs and Wheel Speed sensors have been fixes for some of the issues you describe
ASk them about this:

With 3,700 miles the only problems I've experienced so far is a defective drivers seat cushion and loose leather at the bottom of the seat, hood insulation falling down "self fix with some contact cement". I've also noticed on the cab under the passenger side door there's an area of orange peel non glossy paint "unnoticeable probably leave be", and slight misalignment at the top of the drivers side front fender that meets the cab "probably leave be". The dealer ordered the seat cushion and leather cover.
I did get the two updates, engine and trans flash.
Before the engine ECM flash I could actually hear the turbo spool up, now seems gone after the flash :(
Mechanically I've been lucky and otherwise happy with the overall ride/performance and I'm pretty picky!!
I do think my 2021 3500 Bighorn had better overall fit and quality control than my 2025 Laramie has:confused:

And.... after 800 miles, the DPF injector broke and there is no eta on a new part. so it's sitting at the dealer collecting Ram dust.
Oh no we're sorry to hear of this! Please send our team a private message for an extra layer of assistance alongside the dealer.

I saw video just the other day that DPF's are on national back order. This was for a 2014, but I'd bet the parts are similar. These Diesel emission parts failing all the time is exactly what prevented me from buying a diesel. It's a shame that Cummins generally makes a good engine, but all the bolt on stuff ruins the experience for customers. These failing components aren't cheap either at $4000 for some of them.

I was finally able to get more definitive specs on these updates. As I'd guessed, they are indeed only for trucks manufactured before March 13th/April 16th.

I did at the end of May from Mark Dodge. I'm at 6800 miles now, chasing the National Hare and Hound and the West hare scrambles series even though I'm an old retired geezer of 65yo. Super pleased with mine, 99% of my miles have been hauling my slide in truck camper with a dirt bike strapped to the front or rear receiver hitch. Averaging mid-13 mile per gallon since purchasing. Running 65 to 85 mph out west going to races. I finally unloaded the camper and did a solo run a couple days ago out to meteor crater and back averaging 82 mph on I-40, probably 70 mile round trip. Had just rotated tires and had built up some soot with around town driving after my last trip DPF was at 1/3ish when I started my little round trip. Averaged 18-20miles per gallon going out then only 15 to 16 coming back. Apparently it went into active region because by the time I was home after my return trip my DPF % was back to zero. I was bummed that the spare tire that I rotated in did not include a TPMS sensor or it is not functional. My calculated diesel exhaust fluid consumption over the 6800 Mi thus far is 540 miles per gallon. I did an oil analysis after the first 1500 mile break in and I just drained the oil after my last adventure, should have results from the second oil analysis next week. Will post both sets of results here. View attachment 87582
Tell ,me about your popup camper. I'm in the market for one because I know they are lighter than full campers and my 2500's weight limit doesn't work for those. What year is it and would you buy it again or another brand if you could?

You might want to reach out to @ramblinChet on the popup truck camper choices.

Curious to hear thoughts as to how it compares to the 2024. Thanks!
I had a 22 and bought a 25 a couple months ago. the trans in the 25 is one of the smoothest shifting truck trans I have ever driven. My 22 was not the HO cummins but
felt more powerful and was louder than my 25. that power could be because it had 373 gears vs 342 on the 25 but the highway manners on the 25 are better with 1700 rpms at 65.
Im worried about the new trans being a 1st year and all but it is smooth as butter. I hope its a reliable one.

I test drove both the 68RFE and Aisin before ordering my 25. I agree they "felt" more powerful. However, I think this is because it shifted you below the max torque, so you felt it come on, whereas the ZF8 just keeps you in the powerband, so you don't drive into it and feel it per se.
I do miss the noise of the 10-24 engines tho :( I describe the 25/26 as annoyingly quiet.

Quick update. At 6 months and 12,3xxx miles on my 2025 RAM 3500 CCLB 4x4 SRW Cummins Tradesman. Not a single problem. I did take a rock to the windshield, had the local glass place I use replace it with Mopar glass. My glass installer couldn't access the software in my truck with their system, so I ended up at the Ram dealer here in town for them to program the camera that looks thru the glass just below my rear view mirror. While there, they updated all software that was recommended when they plugged the dealership tablet into my OBD2 port. Just finished a trip over o Big Bear Lake, CA for some mtb and fishing with my niece who has a couple of weeks off Veterinary school. ~850 miles round trip, truck still flawless. Snow coming to Flag, so putting on the studded tires, changing oil for the third time, and changing fuel filters for the first time tomorrow. Hope my "luck' holds with my truck ownership experiene.
