Issue with new 2025… trailer connection wiring issue

So, I have had my new 3500 for about 3 weeks now…. Shortly after getting the truck, I started getting a check trailer brake wiring and trailer brakes disconnected…. I haven’t pulled a trailer yet, so there isn’t an issue with a trailer, the issue is with the truck…. I used a multi meter and I have a constant hot 12v (as I should) but the parking lights pin shows a pulsating reading. Nothing else shows anything. I’ve taken the truck to the dealer and after checking the truck the believes the issue was a trailer brake control module… The part was on national back order, but they were able to get their hands on the part after stellantis got involved, but unfortunately it didn’t solve the issue. Now the dealer has the truck and seem to be at a loss and are planning on checking the connections for issues.. I’m getting less confident that they are going to get the problem resolved. Has anyone else had this issue, or are you currently having it?

Just picked up my 25 and after installing my reverse lights from my 22, they didn’t work. No power on the center pin. I have 12v constant, left and right directionals. Guess it’s already going back to the dealer.

Diamond, I have 2025 Ram 1500 and am having a similar problem. My dealer said that it’s a known problem that the 2025s will correctly light LED trailer lights but won’t light incandescent trailer lights. I was told that Ram is “working on a fix” but that’s all the dealer knows. Can you advise on status and whether there’s a workaround that I can deploy in the meantime? I need to be able to use trailers safely with my new truck.

Hi there, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We have notified our internal team of this concern customers are experiencing. So, I had my 2025 3500 Limited since May. I use the truck to tow my travel trailer; nothing too big for the 3500. I am getting the weirdest thing happening. When my headlights come on while connected to the travel trailer (2025 Coachmen Northern Spirit), the dash lights up like a Christmas tree and my lights on the exterior of the truck start flashing. When I disconnect the trailer from the truck and I manual turn off the lights, the truck resets itself. Most people tell me it's the trailer, but before I had this truck, I had a TRX 2023 and I tow this same trailer with that truck with no issues, besides it being a little unstable... I have linked a video. Can someone please help me? I live in Georgia and travel to Florida often. And If anyone knows these two states, it rains alot. When I turn on the lights, my truck flashing all lights in the rain or dark, this is not safe.

Have an appointment tomorrow with the dealer and my travel trailer.
 
Just started happening on my 25 Laramie DRW. Have had truck for a month. Asking to confirm trailer type, check trailer connection, trailer brake error.

What’s the fix, my local dealer is garbage.

2025 Ram 2500 currently 130 miles, owned for 2 weeks. Service Brake controller message. I have not plugged in the trailer yet. Going to the Dealership this morning and park rhe truck at the service door. Looks like I have to cancel upcoming trip. They should have a recall on this due to the failure could cause a accident. Thanks Ram. Keep building unsafe vehicles.
 
@RamCares really hoping a fix for all of the electrical problems everyone is having is coming soon. I have to say to those who are bashing the RamCares team, I have had good luck calling Stellantis Customer Care when I’ve had issues. My rep even gave me her direct line after my truck was fixed in case I had other issues, which I did. The RF Hub went out and was on backorder for 3 weeks…. She helped my dealer get the part and after the truck was fixed, provided me a free 8yr/125,000 ($0 deductible) warranty for free.
