2009-2018 vs 2019+ Bed Differences

I have found a used ARE hard bed cover for a 2017 6.4ft 2500 bed. Is there any reason that it won't fit on a 2019 2500 6.4ft bed? I am under the impression that they are all the same.

At the time I ordered my cap, they didn't have a specific 2019 cap... the installer ordered a '2018' ARE MX for my 2019 and it fit fine...

The 2019 bed on the HD is the same bed as the previous gen,so it should fit correctly.

I agree with the above. My topper guy said the only bed shapes changed for 2019-20 were the top rear corners on the dually.

Similar dilemma here - I am looking at picking a bestop softtopper myself and their site only shows compatibility until 2017. I am under the same impression that the bed dimensions remained the same. A little nervous to order one of these bad boys and in the event it doesn't fit, I am stuck paying the return shipping...

I know softopper (their sister company) also has a similar product that is guaranteed to fit, but unfortunately uses chrome hardware which is not to my liking.

Thanks much for that prospective. I actually did give them a ring - and they stated that they tested it and it didn't work. Was a little hesitant to believe the service rep, hence I am here asking some questions LOL.

Great to know that you've crossed this bridge though - any issues with fitment at all? For the record, I have a 6.4 bed with the CHMSL cam - not sure if you have any more comments with those facts in mind...

I have the 6 4 bed as well. that's odd they advised against it.

here is the one I bought. here's a pic of it. softopper actually has a 2019 option in the drop down. when I bought mine it only had up to 2018 since I had a 2019 way early.

No worries at all, it's the effort that counts - appreciate the research! Bestop's website will only guarantee fit until 2017. I am not familiar with the differences between 2017 and 2018, but I would assume they are the same.... with that logic a 2017 should fit 2019.

But yeah like I said earlier, wanted to go with the bestop because the hardware is all black and also, I believe there are windows from the factory.
