What did you do TO your RAM today?

That is no joke. I went out to the garage with the overhead door still closed and it smelled like a hot pit area lol. I have a little left in the drain pan that wouldn’t fit into my jug.

Couple of questions. Do you need gaskets for the covers or are they the reusables? Second, why 75W-90 when the factory calls for 75W-85? Any benefit there? Asking as I live in Arizona and might hot here now.

Mine had reusable gaskets on the front and rear.

Factory uses orange RTV. When I pulled my cover I used a Lubelocker gasket. Easy and no mess. RTV gives me turrets

Reusable gaskets as noted by others. I got what Napa had in stock. I did see the manual calls for 75w-85 but it wasn’t readily available and I cared not to wait. It’s one of those things I had a cple hours to knock out. It’s a differential. I’ve run 75/90 in many vehicles without issue. Im gonna lose another 1/2 mpg until she’s warm.

Noticed your rubber trim is also peeling back, is this side of the truck sitting in the sun more than the other sides ? My Wife's Altima tint bubbled up on the side that is parked in the sun all the time.

That’s possible, but the rubber trim is popped up on the other side as well.

Of all the RAMs I have owned, 4 now, all have this on both sides all the time from basically new

Brake fluid flush. Since I don’t put a lot of miles on my vehicles I do it every 2 years. I just turned 13k this weekend

109K on my brakes and when I replace the pads and rotors, the fluid will continue to age!

I typically let some flow at that time and top off with fresh. I very much doubt it’s a full flush. It’s definitely one of those things people lack in keeping up with, similar to diff fluids and swapping out antifreeze.

Pretty sure it’s 10 yrs/150k. How many keep their trucks that long? We will probably have water pump or thermostat issues before then and drain it anyways.

Changed the engine air filter and cabin air filter. Engine filter wasn’t near as nasty as the cabin filter.
