Curious to hear thoughts as to how it compares to the 2024. Thanks!

So...I just traded a '24 CCLB SRW HO for a '25 CCLB DRW. Both are Laramies, similarly equipped. Both trucks have air suspension.
I only had the '24 for about 5 months. We bought a fifth wheel that exceeded the GVWR of the SRW.
The '25 is quieter and much smoother. The transmission is much better at gear selection for a given speed/throttle condition. It downshifts to keep the engine in the power band.
Surprisingly, the DRW rides smoother.
I do not observe an increase in engine power. I don't know if the new truck (<1000 miles) is somehow limited for break-in by the ECM, but it seems less powerful. The '24 was a beast. Even though the Aisin transmission was confused most of the time, the truck was a torque beast. You could really feel the push in your back when you gave it the beans. I don't get the same sensation from the '25.
I need to wait a few thousand miles on the '25 to see if it loosens up.
I will re-visit this as miles accumulate.
Yes, I would like to see your oil analysis if you could post both of them at your convenience. thanks.I did at the end of May from Mark Dodge. I'm at 6800 miles now, chasing the National Hare and Hound and the West hare scrambles series even though I'm an old retired geezer of 65yo. Super pleased with mine, 99% of my miles have been hauling my slide in truck camper with a dirt bike strapped to the front or rear receiver hitch. Averaging mid-13 mile per gallon since purchasing. Running 65 to 85 mph out west going to races. I finally unloaded the camper and did a solo run a couple days ago out to meteor crater and back averaging 82 mph on I-40, probably 70 mile round trip. Had just rotated tires and had built up some soot with around town driving after my last trip DPF was at 1/3ish when I started my little round trip. Averaged 18-20miles per gallon going out then only 15 to 16 coming back. Apparently it went into active region because by the time I was home after my return trip my DPF % was back to zero. I was bummed that the spare tire that I rotated in did not include a TPMS sensor or it is not functional. My calculated diesel exhaust fluid consumption over the 6800 Mi thus far is 540 miles per gallon. I did an oil analysis after the first 1500 mile break in and I just drained the oil after my last adventure, should have results from the second oil analysis next week. Will post both sets of results here. View attachment 87582
Received my second oil analysis back today for the run from ~1500 odometer to ~6700 odometer reading. 99% of miles from both the first oil analysis and the second analysis were somewhat loaded high speed super long distance runs.Yes, I would like to see your oil analysis if you could post both of them at your convenience. thanks.
I traded my 2023 in for a 2025 DRW, it has a much smoother ride, shifting is great and quiet. The truck has enormous power. Everything about the new HD is better. I love it.Curious to hear thoughts as to how it compares to the 2024. Thanks!
That is awful. You should consider contacting Ram Customer Service and open up a case, that if this isn't addresses rapidly you will be seeking a buyback to add additional pressure. They should be able to locate a replacement part someplace, even if they have to remove one from inventory at the manufacturing location in MX.And.... after 800 miles, the DPF injector broke and there is no eta on a new part. so it's sitting at the dealer collecting Ram dust.
you are correct, but just for clarification, #3 and 4 are the same item. the RF module controls both the FOB and tire pressure sensors.I drove one that a friend bought for a day. Definitely nice to tow with and daily driving. Its a huge up grade if you are coming from a SO Cummins or an older HO with 400 HP. That extra 30 HP is huge. If you have the HO with 420 horse, that extra 10 HP is noticeable but not much. The biggest change is the ZF trans. Overall it wasn't enough for me to trade my 2024 HO.
Just beware there are some electrical gremlins that 2025 owners are having.
1. Multiple Random error messages in the cluster
2. Truck wont shut off - owners have to pull the battery cables off.
3. truck wont start unless the FOB is held against the push to start
4. Bad RF Hubs and Wheel speed sensors
5. Seen some owners having issues with the DEF lines pooping off as well.
Not sure how wide spread these issues are , but my friend took his in in there was several TCM and BCM updates. SO just new RVs, trucks are a crap shoot if you get a good one.
Bought a 2025 Ram 2500 Cummins Laramie with Rear Air Suspension. Used to have a 2019 Ram 2500 Cummins Limited. Use as a sometimes daily driver and to pull 8,000 lbs Travel Trailer mostly around Southeast and Appalachian Mountains.Curious to hear thoughts as to how it compares to the 2024. Thanks!

Cab the same but still significant differences. All digital dash. The extensively revised HO engine combined with the new 8 Speed Transmission pulls strongly and much more smoothly. I like the relocated oil and fuel filters up top either side of engine and vastly improved intake design. Despite gaining 850 lbs of Payload to 2,932lbs, this Ram 2500 rides more smoothly. First thing my wife noticed.
Steering feels tighter and more precise. Of course, it pull the Airstream trailer effortlessly.
Only trouble I had was with DEF level gauge. It was wacho and the dealer replaced the tank / pump with the embedded level sensor. No problems since.
Have no intensions of making major mods. It runs great, looks level, and a lift would just degrade the towing experience.

2021 27' International GVWR = 7,600lbsHow much does that Airstream weigh?
I currently have 4,000 miles of towing with it but nearly every mile has had a host of error messages on the display and the dealer cannot duplicate them when I take it in for service, super frustrating.
