Let’s see your wagons with 35 and 37’s

Beauty!! 37’s look great, 35’s ride better. Had both, in snow and ice, that extra 15-20lbs/tire unsprung mass matters.
To be honest I’m really torn between the two sizes on this truck. Main reason I went 37s was to try the KO3s and felt the 315/70R17 size was just enough smaller than I wanted to go. The novelty got me and will probably go with 35s next for the spare tire piece of mind and no rubbing concerns.

Went with 35" Goodyear duratracs while currently waiting on my Thuren level kit to come in.
Then I'll wish I went with 37s but oh well. I do plan on towing as well so felt 35s would be better for practicality.

Finally got my KO3's in and installed. 315/70R17, roughly 34.5" (like most BFG KO "35s"). Haven't redone the computer yet, but I'm enjoying my speedo telling me that everyone is driving at a little more relaxed pace on the local highways.

Initial thoughts:
A) slightly softer ride than the Duratracs (they inflated to door specs, so 60F/65R), will be airing down sometime soon to 50/45 or 45/40.
B) noticeably less tire noise at highway speeds. I ran an iphone 'decibel meter' app before and after and it's only about 1-2db quieter, but it's still noticeably less IMO.

Overall happy.. the tire shop didn't complain to me at all about balancing them, so maybe the initial run has improved. Feel fine on the highway, but bounces a bit at 40-50mph, though the Duratracs did that a bit until I aired them down as well.

Decibels are measured on an exponential scale so 1-2 db is noticeable for sure

Installed 35 x 12.5 x 17 Falken AT4W's (All stock suspension). Looks 100 times better! I have no rubbing at all, but have not taken it off road yet. Hoping to do that in a few weeks but I don't suspect any issues.
Been happy with them so far?? I had the AT4Ws on my 1500 and loved them. Slashed the sidewall of the Duratracs yesterday on a trail...not happy. Looking to dump them as they do not seem durable (looking at tons of posts online about the same issue).

So far I love the AT4W's! Hardly any road noise. I've gone offroad twice so far (nothing crazy) but I loved the way they preformed. Looking forward to hunting season this year. There's a few seasonal limit roads that no one ventures down. I'm going to try it this year!

Just got mine done today...Baja Boss ATs (315/70R17). So far so good! Looks so much better IMO. Two questions I have though:
- If you are running these tires on the Wagon, what's the lowest PSI you've run them at? I used to run my AT4Ws on my 1500 at about 20-25 PSI for trails and never really had any issues.
- Anyway to recalibrate the speedo in these yet?

Nice truck! I have the Baja Boss AT's in Load Range E and when doing serious off-roading I put them at 18psi with no issues.

LOVE THOSE BEADLOCKS, soo I am wanting to get those for my power wagon and raceline wheels is trying their hardest to discourage me from putting them on a 2500 Ram saying its too heavy and too much maintenance. What are the cons by having those Beadlocks on your rig??

Raceline says they are not rated for vehicles over 6500 lb
They’re also not DOT approved (not street legal) so you may have a hard time finding a tire shop to mount them for you.

Aside from all of the above, if you want to mount them yourself and assuming you get them balanced out you just have 144 extra bolts to keep torqued.

Balancing is a PITA also. If you’re not climbing rocks, just leave it alone. lol.

Thanks! Really like them so far and have been nervous about dropping them that low. Have been running them at about 30 off road but will try lower this weekend.

If you want a little more confidence in your wheels holding on to your tires when airing down, but you don't want all the hassles of a bead lock wheel, try the Method bead grip wheels. I'm running the 17" Method 704 HD, which was built specifically for Ram trucks. These wheels "grip" the bead of the tire - but are not bead lock wheels. They don't lock the bead onto the wheel, but they do hold the bead better than regular wheels. Just ask the guys at Discount Tire (or any other shop that works with these wheels) - it is hard for them to get the tire off the wheel.

For tires, I run 35-inch Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT, and I air them down to ~20 psi driving moderate trails (OnX OffRoad rated 4-5). Occasionally I run a trail rated 6 (but that just makes me want 37s). So far, no concerns about losing a bead. I think I could take the tires down to 15 psi and still be fine.
