This is my first post here, I bought a 2024 2500 ccsb with the 6.7 about 3 months ago. Bought the truck brand new and it now has a little over 3,000 miles on it. I noticed a tick/rattling noise coming from the engine area 500 miles ago but chalked it up to normal weird diesel noise. Fast forward to now and the noise quickly got much louder and more often. It started just at high idle or driving slow above 1k rpms now it does it at idle and is much more pronounced. I dropped the truck off at the dealership and just got a call back stating that they "didn't hear any noise that wasn't normal" I am going down tomorrow to show them the exact noise. I know this noise is not normal my father has a 24' 3500 SO 6.7 and it does not make the noise along with a superintendent with a 21 6.7 that does not make this noise. I attached a video of someone else with the exact same noise. Just curious if anyone has had this problem and how the dealer handled it. Thank you

I’ve got a high idle tick at above 1200 rpm on my ‘23, has done it since I can remember. Dealer said it was normal and other trucks on their lot sounds the same, it hasn’t gotten any worse and I’m at 40k. Mine however doesn’t sound like the video at regular idle, no abnormal noise in my opinion. If yours sounds like the video I’d do just as you are doing and take it back and make them document your concerns.

I had that same tick on the 2023 I owned on cold start, it would go away after it was at running temp. It started right after its initial oil change. The dealership did a second oil change with the 5w-40, same result. They had one of the MOPAR Field techs(they travel from dealer to dealer for issues that the local tech cant figure out is what I was told) and he determined that it was normal and several of the trucks on the lot made the same noise. Like you, none of my previous Rams and my current 2024 Ram make that noise. Why would it start after an oil change?

I do nor know what happened with that truck as I traded it for a 2024 Chevy DRW(which was another nightmare).
