Ditch Lights with Sport Hood

Hoping that someone has run into this. I ordered a set of ditch light mounts from KC and had a real hard time getting them installed. After video conferencing their product development team, we concluded that the sport hood is shaped differently and the regular bracket wouldn’t work.
Am I the only one to figure this? Has anyone else been able to mount ditch lights on a 24-25 sport hood?

I doubt most people drive in a ditch so they have no need for Ditch lights, LOL

reach out to CJC Offroad? they may know of a solution. I think there are also brackets available from SDHQ, they may have an answer as well.

Yep, I hate to say it because I’m a big KC fan, but the SDHQ brackets worked perfectly.

How did they not fit in having issues with mine on a 25 2500 anything I tried I could not get the gap smaller on the driver side

Not sure I understand your question but I’m using the SDHQ brackets and my drivers side looks similar to yours.

Sorry that wasn’t worded the best lol. But that makes me feel better I’ve been out there adjusting it every way I could and can’t get it any lower

Mine is a 22 and I don't have the Sport hood. I did get my brackets from Morimoto. They screw on to the hood hinges. Not sure where the KC brackets mount to. Hope this helps.

They mount the same way did they leave a bigger gap between your hood and fender than factory?

The sport hood seems to raise up a bit more on the underside which causes a much larger gap between the underside of the hood and the bracket. I wish I had been able to compare the two, but I sent the KC bracket before the SDHQ arrived.

Did you put the mount between the hood and hinge assembly?

Yes, just as instructed. Even had a full
video call with the KC product development guy. He agreed that the bend angle on the bracket just wasn’t correct.

Those mounts are thick and if you put them between the hood and hood mount/hinge, its going to lift the hood up. Correct? They can't be installed under the hood mount/hinge?
