Price negotiated from MSRP

Hmmm, found a 19 3500, made the dealer an offer, take or leave it at 19% off MSRP. He kinda laughed at me and tried to bs me about they are just going to keep going up. Needless to say, I ain’t sweating it and will wait. I wanted 20%, so if I get a call around Labor Day, LOL, I may ask for more. Car salesman should be a non essential profession anyway, online sales has proven the fact that we don’t need to visit a dealership, except to pick up, and now some will deliver. He also kept saying, “you’re going to trade your 2500 aren’t you?” Nope! Then he said, for the amount of my offer, he would be glad to find a used one, told him don’t bother cause I ain’t paying that for a used one. Cantancorous ole sole I is.

I just put a deposit on a 19 Big Horn Cummins Crew
level 1 truck with all the right individual options
$64180 msrp
15.5% under +tax of course, + some on the spiffs
that math is accurate to my real net, tax on rebates, coupons, ect. accounted for

problem is if you want to save all that you can on content, plan on keeping the truck
and of course more for less is... well...more for less
The mid level 19's are drying up choices getting slimmer
so I bit, coulda kept beating the bushes in search of than unicorn givaway @17-20%
odds not with me it would have met 99% of the individual requirements
as this one did

Anyone know if the Sam’s club cash and penfed
cash are stackable?

Just dropping another note about something that's been posted in this thread - don't overlook the allstate rebate if it's still available.

I believe it still is. Gonna check if I can get a deal done.

My late father n law always said, “don’t fall in love with a vehicle”. You got to have a price in your head and be willing to stick with it or walk away. NEVER chase a deal. I don’t fall for the “it will not last at this price” or the “ I have another buyer interested”, etc. If deal is meant for me, it will be. ENJOY that new truck! May it serve you well.

Dennis Dillon has a few 2500/3500’s for 15% off MSRP. I just put a order in to see what their pricing is although not sure if they are still taking orders for 2020’s or not.

Looks like I may have to look into this. Any specific changes to the 2021’s?

I am about to pull the trigger as well, upgrading from a '19 1500. I think no details have been released but I am hoping for the Uconnect 5 coming into the 2500 as well... the Uconnect4 has been ok but I am hoping for improvements... although FCA and new products I better not hold my breath... Id also love to see the big sunroof make its way into the HD but I doubt it... Lets see that's pretty much what I can think of... can't see them doing any major changes... I am buying through the CDI program that takes the haggling out of the game...

Uconnect 5 could happen. I wouldn't expect the pano sunroof until the gen5 cab hits.

Great deal! We walked away from a dealer selling almost the same red mega. They wouldn't go below 72K and the truck had 6K miles on it!

Oh man! Yeah, this one had 8 miles on it. I had to drive 4 hours each way to get it, but I'm glad I did. They had it for several weeks too.
What part of the country are you in? Out here all the dealers are claiming low inventory so they're not moving on price.

Let's hear what everyone is paying for their new Heavy Duties! These threads are great as it give people an idea of pricing to shoot for when purchasing.

I think the best way to make this thread is as follows:
MSRP of the specific truck
What Rebates and incentives were applied and $ amounts
Any further negotiations
Final price

Please do not include trade in values, taxes, OTD price or anything like that as those are all variable depending on where you live etc. Rebates and incentives are also regional so also please post up where you purchased the truck and when.

Example:

2016 Ram 1500 Sport

MSRP $64,440
-$10,000 rebate from Ram
-$1000 skilled trades rebate
-$3940 additional negotiated at dealer
=$49,500 paid

Vancouver. B.C August 2016

MSRP =88k;
Price = $76K

I ended up jumping on a deal negotiated with a dealer 2.5 hours away. 2020 Laramie 2500 4x4 w the Cummins - $75,245 list, negotiated $67.5. Not exactly the deal I wanted but this truck had every option I wanted. Had I built a truck it would have been this exact build so I pulled the trigger. I’m ecstatic with the purchase!
Which dealer? I’ve had horrible luck in south Florida? Best I’ve had offered was $500 under invoice in Orlando. Forget about Miami. Wow
