8HP75 fluid and filter.. Amsoil? Aftermarket filter options ?

I would like to use Amsoil for the fluid change, and saw the PPE pan with replaceable filter. Looking for better options than OEM. What’s everyone doing , any thoughts ?

Where I am in communist Canada they are 400$ at the dealer… the only aftermarket pan I found is PPE..

Just buy the OEM one. You should only be needing to replace fluid and pan/filter every 50-75k miles , I don’t see the cost justification of the aftermarket one that has replaceable filter.

I just picked up this kit for my wife’s Ecodiesel Jeep:

It’s the best deal going right now IMO as it includes a ZF branded filter/pan, all new pan bolts, new fill plug and fluid. With their recent Memorial Day sale it was right at $200 shipped.

Not sure if the HD trucks use a deeper pan or not though.

I suspect you’re thinking about the ZF in your truck, which is not the same one the OP is talking about.

I've only used the PPE pans when I did my 1500's and Gladiator. They worked good for all three.

I also wouldn't run anything but the ZF Lifeguard 8 fluid. Especially if it's still under warranty. Plus it's premium fluid that I know works without issue.
