What did you do TO your RAM today?

Installed a new tailgate emblem and finally got around to putting the Baja Designs reverse light kit on the truck. Super easy install and extremely happy with the outcome. Even at dusk the light output is amazing.

Don't listen to @Rockcrawlindude . He is just jealous cause he doesn't have a real truck. ;)
I heard that!!!!! CdnHO
I installed some engine bay lighting today. I can’t believe that most trucks don’t have lights in the engine bay anymore. View attachment 86083
What lights are these that you installed? Did you install them on a swith of sorts to come on when the hood is unlatched or are they on a form of switch that turns on snd off with the position of the light.

Most of us have used the KC HiLites Cyclone pucks. I have mine on an AUX switch. The do make a complete kit with switch or you could probably womp up a "mercury" tilt switch.

I keep a headlamp in my truck it’s useful for a lot more than just under the hood. On a budget it’s a better allocation of funds

Same here. I like the idea of underhood lights, but I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to go under the hood of a modern vehicle at night in the last 10 years.

Well sure. I have Petzl headlamps stashed all over and EDC a streamlight. Anyone can justify any spend/not spend for any number of reasons. I'm sure there are cheaper options but will they last? If you're going to go through the trouble, Buy once, cry once.

As you get longer in the tooth, every bit of light helps...even during the day. That and spectacles are a necessity now.

I was a bit miffed when there was no provision to add an underhood light on my 2018 (or 2022), but came to the same conclusion. I had to add the light to my 2005 and have the wiring to add it to my 2017, but haven’t ever needed it. It would be nice to have for certain occasions, but I haven’t had one of those occasions since owning a Dodge/Ram. Keeping a headlamp in the truck is a much better and more versatile option.

They are the KC cyclones. I made my own harness and put them on one of the factory aux switches in the cab.

Yea, I hope I never have a need for these, but it’s cheap insurance. I hunt, fish and camp in a lot of very remote spots in PA and NY. So if I ever have a problem with the truck in the middle of nowhere, I’d like to save my headlamps and flash lights if I need to hike out.

I use this for general night tasks and camping. Its magnetic and has two very bright settings, although I also keep a headlamp in the truck as well.
As far as looking under the hood at night I would probably just have a long lost blank stare at the abyss because I wouldn't know what I'm looking at or doing anyway.

Replaced the standard EVIC with the bigger 7" display. Was able to get the miles changed to the truck mileage with alphaobd, not so much the idle hrs and the engine hours, Definitely liking the swap.
Anyone with tips or suggestions on the hours? Other threads have commented on the hours not being all that accurate so guess I'm all in all not real concerned about those.
