First off,

2022 Ram 2500 6.4, 3.73 with Bilstein 5100 2.5” level. However, It is the diesel coils though because they were a steal. Honestly, it rides amazing and if it was any softer, I would be flabbergasted because it rides smooth now. I had the Bilstein stabilizer for the first couple hundred miles and then the King stabilizer for about 1500 miles now.

The wheels are a +25 method 315s. Everything is off of CJC.

Initially had no rub except on turns going up curbs. So I trimmed the plastic piece that protrudes the furthest. On the front splash guard and that actually did not solve it so I was kind of bummed. I ended up drilling two small holes and using zip ties to pull the splash shield/wheel liner back and that seems to have solved that. I have done some mild off roading and haven’t heard very much rub at all..

I will say the wheel weights are cutting it close as there is a slight clearance from the wheel weight to the brake caliper.

As far as the Bilstein stabilizer versus the king. I’m not sure if it’s placebo effect or not, but I feel a significant difference on curbs, expansion joints and the mild off Roading I have done.

The Bilstein I won on an auction website for 30 bucks so can’t complain much there as it for sure was an improvement over stock. However, The King is noticeably better than both.

Now on to the tires. Having 35 inch tires prior to this I believe I averaged like 85 to 90 mph on my 20 mile commute to and from work, I hauled ass everywhere. 35 inch tires felt like stock on the truck. And to be honest, didn’t mind them with the exception of the wheel well, just didn’t look like they were filled. I had the Toyo open country AT3 for about 45,000 miles maybe slightly less. I still had a decent amount of tread left.

I replaced them with a Toyo RT Trail 37x12.5R17 and I don’t know if it’s because of everything I have read negative about going with 37 inch tires but I’ve slowed down, I do the speed limit. Truck still feels the same. I have Read in other post that their truck no longer goes in Eco mode, rpm’s dropped dramatically, trouble shifting or not reaching eighth gear. Not that I bought a 2500 gasser for miles per gallon by any means nor have I experienced any of the negative impacts.

I will say the truck still functions as normal (as before) if the RPMs have dropped I haven’t noticed because the truck shifts as it did before Eco mode still engages. I don’t typically drive without selecting the gear. Unless I absolutely space out and forget. But, I experienced several times in the last two days where I intentionally left it in drive and did not select gears, and it did go into Eco mode and did not turn off or disengage until I braked or accelerated.

The tires do whine a little bit more which I’m not concerned about because the drone from my exhaust is far louder. Being in the Marine Corps, the drone actually soothes my tinnitus. so, I don’t care Lol Prior to upgrading tires like I said, I moved with a purpose all the time and average 10 1/2 miles to the gallon. With waiting in parent pick up line Thursday, Fridays, my miles per gallon was like eight because of all the idling. Now I am averaging around 13 and on Thursday Fridays I’m down to about 11 with an hour of idle time in the truck.

On curbs expansion joints and offloading it feels so much better. As of right now, nothing negative all positives in the first 1500 to 2000 miles. Truck looks much better and feels it too.

Overall, I say, if you’re on the fence about it, just pull the trigger and do it.

Tires are at 45 psi up front and 35psi in the rear.

Great review. I’ve got to say I have about the same experience only I never took the 35” tire step in between so interesting to read the improvements in ride from 35s to 37s. Was one of the reasons I skipped 35s, I’ve read several others stating the same. I was really trying to talk myself into the 35s to be reasonable but glad I didn’t so far. Not to hijack your thread but add to the 37” honest review I’ll throw my experience below.

I drove my PW for only about 1000 miles with the stock skate wheels before swapping on a set of 37” BFG KM3s that were almost end of life that I took off my Jeep JKU. With those tires I noticed heavier steering and some off the line performance ‘loss’ but honestly felt like that performance loss was better fitted with the 4.10 gears and the deep first gear in the eight speed. Took away the jerkiness like you’re in low range. Otherwise I was impressed the significant increase in ride quality especially on the freeway and zero loss in fuel mileage. After adjusting the speedo and air pressure warning with the AEV Procal fuel mileage was on par with the original tires. A slight increase actually at freeway speeds and a decrease in around town stop and go- overall tank-to-tank no change. I am getting 13.6 average with all around driving probably more city miles though. I have not calculated any long freeway trips where there might be an increase.
I drove on those worn out KM3s for about 2500 miles before just pulling the trigger on the newly released BFG KO3s in the 37” load F tires. These are heavier than the previous KO2s but not as heavy as the KM3s I just removed. The tire shop inflated them to 65psi and they ride great, possibly a slight improvement in rolling resistance and too early to tell but a slight increase in fuel mileage. I am not planning on “wheeling” this truck as I’ve got Jeeps for that but some of our late season elk hunting gets a little rough and a capable rig is required.

I should’ve added tire pressure minimum was adjusted in Alfa obd and Speedo was calibrated with ProCal Snap.

When I measured I believe just at 35” which is what I put in procal.

Speedo vs Waze is accurate Speedo is slower than Google. I can post a picture of the car scanner vs speedo on the way home.
I didn’t get mine dead on but I never bothered to get it closer. Speedo reads 78 when I’m going 75 been that way 40k miles.

My 285/75-18s are about the same height as 37s ~35” actual od but I don’t remember what I put in pro cal

So per my obd scanner app and Waze vs the speedo are dead on. Google always has been off regardless of what vehicle I’m in as far as the Grand Cherokee, Wrangler or Ram. And I chalk that up to me having most of Google‘s permissions taken away and in my phone I don’t have precise location so I assume that effects calibration of some sort.

Interestingly enough though. Waze was accurate as long as I was plugged in via usb-c. The moment I unplugged the phone it went to Waze was 5 mph slower then progressively got slower to 10 mph vs Speedo over the course of a mile. When I plugged it back in. It’s still reflected 10 miles an hour slower versus the speedo. I paused the trip and then resumed it and it was the same as the speedo again.

This was factoring out any sort of delay. And the method I used was putting cruise control on 70. There was like a 5-6 second delay for each mile per hour but then it eventually read 70 mph and maintain 70 mph unless I hit the brake or sped up.

Thanks for the review. I have been considering stepping up from 35’s to 37’s on my bighorn with the hemi, and was curious about mpg, power loss etc. Your review answered a lot of my questions.

Just over 6k in,

Still don’t regret the switch.

Traveling Uphill on the I-17 to flagstaff near camp verde I believe I normally on 35” tires cruised at 7th or 8th gear (I could be wrong) it now on 37” tires roars (due to the neighbor hater muffler) in 5th gear. Obviously can start to tell the difference in performance in 1st gear from the stop but nothing unusual you can say.

**Biggest gripe would be not tire related per se.

Since upgrading to the king stabilizer I have started to notice a slight rattle when steering occasionally and a temporary ever so slight “free” feeling in the steering wheel. I notice it on bumps or smooth turns. I do recall getting an instruction page in the king stabilizer and not reading it fully but recall something about possibly needing to index or rotate the eyelet.(please correct me if I am wrong) but it’s so slight and not often that most of the times I forget to look it up when I get home. Everything is tight and torqued to spec so kind of at a loss because everything seemed pretty plug and play with no manipulation during installation.

I'm going to assume the 37" spare didn't fit under the bed?

No, I have a full 35 inch crammed up there currently paired with several plug and patch kits and a 2 gallon compressor in the bed. Under the assumption, as long as I don’t rock it in four-wheel-drive or place the spare on the rear a 35 inch should do. To do list for the truck once some remodeling gets done around the house is a hitch carrier for hunt /road trips.

Appreciate the info! I carry all that stuff too, you just never know. The spare isn't an issue on my 1500 cause it's has just under 35s, granted the spare just barely fit as well, but when the 3500 lands I was considering 37s and we have a topper camper, trying to avoid the swing out.
