Hoping someone can help. I’m on an RV trip far from home and just started having truck trouble. Not able to get into a dealer ahead of the holiday…

So, I drove up and down a sandy and bumpy hill at Lake Powell and then almost immediately the dash starting throwing multiple errors:
- 4WD temporarily unavailable
- blind spot unavailable
- traffic sign recognition unavailable
- electronic stability control unavailable

I barely made it off the beach in 2WD.

What do you guys think this is? Any advice / things I can try?

Debating disconnecting battery for a few.

Possibly related:
- ACC (automatic cruise control) dropped out a few times in the last 500 miles
- previously had the dash freeze with a U code (don’t have handy) indicating the dash module was not responding or similar

I have had this 3x on my 2025 3500. First time I noticed was after window tinting. Shop claimed all those lights (speed sensor related...Those mentioned above and park sense and no cruise) were on when they got in it. Disconnected batteries to try the old middle finger electrical salute. Didn't work. Whatever... Was near dealership so headed that way. A jaywalking moron forced me to slam on brakes and all but CEL went off. Dealership pulled codes and only one was P2509 from me disconnecting batteries. There was a TSB for that so they reflashed it. In and out in 45 minutes.

Last week hit a chug hole right before I parked and shut down truck. Restarted and Christmas tree again with speed sensor type stuff. Off then back on and CEL with all the speed sensor stuff. Drove a little bit and slammed on brakes...all lights cleared. Got home and hooked up code reader (U1412) and cleared CEL.

Yesterday was on way home, and dash lit up again. Tried several hard brake cycles. Nothing. Shutoff and restarted(CEL appeared)...2 more hard brakes. Lights stayed on. Then miraculously all lights went off with normal driving. Got home and U1412 again. Cleared it.

Have appt next week at dealer.

Very first thing is to find every fuse and relay and ensure they are pushed all the way in "fully seated"...

The only common denominator between those systems is the bcm (someone correct me if I'm wrong) so if all fuses are already seated then I'd look at the bcm connection(s)

I did seat all the ones under the hood.

Tried disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes - no change.

Buddy of mine got a 2025 DRW, had the same issues. He had a radar detect that used a "Y"connector to connect to the mirror wire harness so you don't have to tap any wires etc...he removed that and hasn't had an issue since. I think he had a weird message about "lighting not available" also before.

I see others on the Facebook groups having the same issue, I think there is probably a TSB around the corner for the 2025s.

Mine did those things with my CTS3 hooked-up on my 25'. I found out it was draining my batteries overnight and once I removed it, I've had no troubles.

Yikes, 1st MY problems. Hopefully everyone will “take one for the team” and all the bugs will be worked out by next year this time. I’ve been debating trading up. Good luck fellas.

UPDATE

About a quarter mile (if even) outside the campground and all the errors went away. Before I left, I did get a slightly different error related to the blind spot system telling me to wipe the rear taillights. They were pretty covered in sand/dust but not sure if wiping them did anything.

It does seem possible this is a dirty sensor issue with the computer handling it poorly. I see zero reason why 4WD had to be disabled.

I frequently get that blind spot unavailable /wipe tail lights alert while towing and driving on dusty roads.

When you get it, do you also get other errors along with it? What MY?

Nope. MY24. I’m towing a slide in camper so there’s a bumper overhang so that’s probably not your scenario.

I got all those warning lights when a critter chewed through the right rear speed sensor wire. Might want to check the connection at the wheels.

Update:

Took the ride to dealership today. According to paperwork, they reflashed the TCM and checked the PCM. There are recalls/TSBs? for both of them. The TCM bulletin said something about multiple clutches engaging at the same time and activating limp mode. Thank goodness that didn't happen

Service advisor said on the phone they reflashed both PCM and TCM. Paperwork differed. Anyways, didn't see anything referencing the actual problem...we shall see if it happens again.

Seems to be the fix nowadays. Clear codes, jam a flash into it, and call it good.

Just got the "Warning Light Illumination Unavailable Service Required" pop up. Stopped at a store, was clear when restarted. I did notice that previois School Zone Speed Limit Warning Light were not lighting up on my return trip. Have an appointment tomorrow for Exhaust Brake not engaging, so reckon ill add that to the list.1000048809.jpg

I have the U1412 code come up that sent my entire dash lighting up while on a trip last night. It had done it one other time about 4 days ago and cleared itself on the next startup.
took delivery: 7/15
1st time (7/29): 1106.1 mi
last night(8/2): 1348.5 mi
Last night was a new one to me, not only did I lose cruise control, which I was using btw, but I lost communication with the rear TMPS all 4 tires said "air up to" and they were all above the level that it was asking. I then had to use the foot feed to maintain speed and found it quite annoying that my speed was being reported in KM/h now intead of MPH. Luckily the navigation screen saved me from on the fly calculations and told me that 112 Km/h is the same as 70mph... My wife tried multiple times to change the MPH setting in the Uconnect screen and it changes back immediately the first three times, then on the fourth try it stayed MPH... we had a fun time getting home. This mornging all lights still on, after driving about a mile they all cleared but the CEL, which I suppose will clear after a few key cycles as it did prior.

I will get letting the service dept take a look, I have a screen shot of the main connector at the differential pin issue and will have them check that too. hopefully they will let me drive this thing why they wait for wheel sensors if they have to go that route. Thank you all for keeping this thread going, it sure did help this nervous new truck owner.

I just got the illumination warning…. I hope they can get these software issues resolved. The truck is awesome otherwise…
