What did you do TO your RAM today?

Is that the cleanable cabin air filter? Definitely want better air flow, but not sure I'm sold on the cleanable filters.
It is. Il not sure how I feel about it yet. Time will tell. I ran a K&N intake filter on a 4.6L F150 for 15 years (washed it every spring) and it was fine. Never had a problem with the motor and full synthetic every 5k miles.

I think it will be fine for the HVAC in the 2500. There is a noticeable difference in air flow. Im curious if it will cool the truck faster in the summer

OE angry pixie cages died on me. Went with Wallmart AGMs. Good price, 4yr & convenient warranty. Time will tell. Starter seems to love the new crank amps though, so that's neat. View attachment 85895
I'm not really a WalMart guy, but I will say that their oil and battery deals are pretty good. I had an AGM I bought there in my car for two years and it failed. Took it in and they gave me a brand new one no questions asked.

i use interstate since i have a warehouse local and i can walk in and they knock 50$ off the price since im picking it up at the warehouse. never had any issues with any of there stuff

Added bulletpoint mounting systems to my ram for my backup camera for my RV.

Removed yet another birds nest from my grille.

When do the active shutters close? Mine are always open from what I can tell.

This would drive me nuts as many times as you’ve dealt with it.
I used to have a cabin in the woods and had a fake owl near big picture window. It helped keep birds from flying into the glass.
If I had birds building nests in my grill, I would have one near the front of my truck…maybe worth a shot?

I fight the robins annually. They won’t nest in the truck but many other inconvenient places like the king pin area of the camper and just love to **** all over everything. I have 2 owls and ended up wrapping reflective “bird” tape around a bunch of stuff. It’s better but they are still around. There are 20 trees but they shack up in the two right near the house or someplace on the house.

I had two robins trying to build a nest on my ladder at a campground in TN. I took the stuff down every morning for two weeks before they finally gave up. Then they started attacking my mirrors and crapping all down the door. So I put garbage bags over the mirrors. Then they attacked their reflections in the center cap of my dual wheels and filled the wheels with crap. Sheesh. Don't even get me started on starlings.

Yeah they were banging off the front window in the 5’er for a while. They also made a walking path around the Winegard antenna on the roof and pecked at it relentlessly until I figured out that noise. They don’t give up that’s for sure.

Hmmm, why does mine have more CCA?

View attachment 85929
"JC" at the beginning of your serial number means Clarios, formerly Johnson Controls, is who made that battery for wally world. Mine start with "EP", which is East Penn/Deka.

Difference is almost definitely in the how the CCA were tested/cert'd, and/or minor differences in cell construction.
Additional interesting note, mine shows 800 @ °0F... No such notation from the JC variety. Does it matter?... no, not really IMHO. Amps are pulled not pushed like volts. The starter is only going to pull what it needs not more, and since the OE batts are 730CCA, I very much doubt (given the headroom) the difference would ever be noticeable... Other than very extreme use cases/temps/short cycles

I had one that did that crap for a while, then I chased it away from my truck/house and got after it with my 12 gauge. That solved the problem!

I have Starlings that take one bite out of our figs and then move on to another. A flock will roll in and trash the whole damn tree...plus they pull other baby birds out of their nests and toss them on the ground so I have gone postal on them with my pellet gun. I'd definitely prefer my little .410, but my wife has so many little glass doo-dads hanging in the tree that I gotta be very precise with the shots. That said, I did put a hole in one and got in trouble so I know a shotty will get me in the dog house asap. :p
