AUX pass-thru wiring.

Just got done wiring up my Aux switches.
I have an emergency flashing light that can be placed on top of cab. Used an Aux switch for the power. Hooked up the pattern change wire to the pass thru circuit. Inside the cab, I hooked that pass thru to a momentary button and the other wire to the PTO harness ground. Aux switch turns it on and button changes the pattern.
On another switch I have my fuel pump and ball valve to transfer fuel from bed tank to factory tank.
Ran wiring also for some rear work lights under the bumper.

I am looking to add the Aux switches to my 2024 2500 6.4, I find this kit 82216450AB which says it goes up to 2023 but shows all the parts. Then I find 68512072AA which says wiring only.....I can't find the PDC for that anywhere. Does the 2023 kit fit?? Or do I need to do this from the dealer with all separate parts??? I already have the correct dash switch panel for my configuration.

Thanks

The first kit has the PDC and switches, but the switches will probably be the wrong ones for your truck so you’ll need to find the right one. The second part number is the wires to plug into the aux PDC to connect accessories. You’ll need both.

So both kits? I'm guessing the wires that come with the kit will be wrong from my truck? I already have the switches in the right configuration for what I need.

The wire kit is universal.

You should review this thread: post #5 has the wire kit detail

So just to be clear..I will review that thread, but I know I need the kit with the PDC box, but I need 68512072AA harness that specifies 2024? Or will the harness in the PDC kit work since you said the harness was universal?

I said, "The wire kit is universal." meaning the aux switch/upfitter wiring kit 68512072AA in that it works for any year.

The aux wire kit is only the pigtails and jumpers that comes in a bag with a truck already equipped with the aux switches. It's the "add on" for connecting to the switches and pass through circuits. The newer kits have a few new pass through wires pinned, that's all. Many trucks with Aux switches have been delivered missing that wiring kit. To my knowledge it doesn't come with any PDC kit except the factory orders.

Have you looked at any of the aux kit instructions?

Can anyone tell me what this connector is for? It's in my auxiliary wiring kit, I'm trying to find a good way to wire my dash cam with a hardwire kits, looking for a 12-volt battery and ignition source as well as the ground. I was thinking I can use two of my auxiliary switches, one programmed for battery and the other programmed for ignition

That’s for a truck with PTO. You don’t need it.

Have not ordered the kit since it said up to 2023....I guess I will order it all and go from there. Thanks for the info.

Thanks. Got any suggestions for how to hardwire a dash cam?
I used that PTO to have an easy way for ground for a couple of in cab mods. (3 port 12v power supply in passenger footwell and momentary switch to ground to change flash pattern). If you are dead set on hardwiring the dash cam, you could use the plug that has the 2 looped wires on it. These are designed to give BATT+ and IGN+ to the rear bumper blunt cut wires. I used the IGN+ and cut it for my 12v ports mentioned above.

Do you happen to know where I can locate a schematic that shows which wire goes to which? I did not locate the other end of where I can plug this in under the dash, still looking-- been doing it in between rain bands. It's on a 25 ram 3500 by the way

That connector will not plug into anything on your truck. The mating connector is between the fuse box and the fender on trucks with PTO.

Here is the zoomed in schematic. And a picture under the dash. I have a 25 3500 Lonestar DRW with Level 2 plus. The connector for the black PTO plug that came in the AUX switch bag fits a Grey connector as seen. The two connectors in the bag both plug in under the dash near the parking brake.

That’s a different connector. The one that @tbonerocketeer posted is one of these:

There is no place to plug that in unless your truck has a PTO. The mating port doesn’t exist on your wiring harness.

You are correct I didn't look at it closely, but the one below it on the seat will work. That's the one I used.

Is the second part number, 68512072AB still available? When I search for it on Google it doesn’t come up and the same on several of the Mopar parts sites.
