I’m torn between the dual rate and the 1” soft springs.
How did they affect your truck?I just installed the dual rate a couple weeks ago. So far I'm very happy with them. They're only 1/2" lift, so pics don't really show anything interesting.
I didn't install them alone, so it's hard to say how much of my change is from them. I also installed the Thuren 2" front coils, Thuren-tuned Fox 2.5 DSC shocks all around, Thuren rear trackbar and mount, and Thuren adjustable front track bar.How did they affect your truck?
Does it ride better and did it reduce your carrying capacity?
Did you have to install anything else in order to install those dual rate springs?
I called Thuren about the dual rate springs. They said they have 35% less payload than the factory springs.I didn't install them alone, so it's hard to say how much of my change is from them. If you install the dual rates you will need longer shocks, and longer rear sway bar links. The new springs' unloaded length is something like 6" longer than the factory springs.
I haven't loaded it up heavy since, but I will be hooking my travel trailer (with apron 1k hitch weight) up in the next few days so I'll see how it sits then. I went with the dual rate partially because Thuren says I shouldn't lose much in the way of load capacity (though it may sag more), and also because I really wanted the extended travel for speedy off-road sessions. If I find they sag more than I like I'll add airbags.
They definitely will allow a bit more sway than stock. With my adjustable shocks I have the low speed compression cranked up to stiff when I'm on pavement, so that eliminates pretty much any change in sway resistance. Adding airbags will eliminate any loss of payload and increase stability to far beyond what it was from the factory.I called Thuren about the dual rate springs. That would take me from 2822 pounds of payload to 1834 lbs per the sticker. However, when I weighed the empty truck with tools and such it reduces it to 2580 pounds and less 35% equals 1677. Based on that I’m not sure if it would be worth it as I use the payload.
The other issue is they said they would sway more than the factory setup.
I wish someone made 1-2” springs that matched factory payload. I use every bit of my payload but would like a smidge more altitude. I ended up with a setup that works for me but I still wish aftermarket springs with factory payload existed. 2” front 1” rear would be perfect but without any loss of payloadI called Thuren about the dual rate springs. They said they have 35% less payload than the factory springs.

I have most everything that Thuren offers for my 2024 Ram 2500 4x4 6.4L Hemi. I tow a “10K” equipment trailer, a 14K (derated to “10K”) dump trailer and drive the truck without a trailer.Looking for people who have installed Thuren rear springs. Which rate did you get? How do you like them? Pics?

Why did you move to rancho from the fox’s?I have most everything that Thuren offers for my 2024 Ram 2500 4x4 6.4L Hemi. I tow a “10K” equipment trailer, a 14K (derated to “10K”) dump trailer and drive the truck without a trailer.
Except for my replacing the Thuren Fox 2.0 shocks with Rancho 9000’s I’m totally satisfied.
I went for the soft +1” rear springs and their std./extended bump stop kit. With a 1 minute swap I go from soft rear suspension to a reinforced one via the long Thuren bump stops.
I tow with and without a WD hitch.
Thuren has done some exceptional engineering on thru products.
I’ll answer any questions you might have.
hope of, not hood of. Damn phone…Forgive me for the belated response. I haven’t been on the forum for awhile.
Replaced the Fox shocks with Rancho 9000’s with the hood of less compression dampening (more compliant ride) which they delivered, with the added ability to adjust the shocks.
The Ranchos provide slightly less control of the wheels over a series of sharp edged bumps or “stutter bumps” but overall I prefer the more compliant ride.
