Brand new 2025 3500 6.4L gas, just turned 2K miles. When I slow down coming to a stop, it seems like when I want to make a make a right turn, the engine quits and I get a warning chime and the instrument cluster tells me to place truck into Park and push engine start button. This has just started and is the second time in two days. Both times there was a vehicle behind me and I had to come to a full stop and put the truck into park and restart the engine. The truck starts right up and I continue on my way. This is a little unnerving to me. I've had 6 previous Ram 1500s with the 5.7L and never had this problem. This is my first 3500 and my first 6.4L.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I don't think so...I use Costco gas exclusively.
A long long long time ago I remember reading of similar issues on the 3rd gen trucks.

I can't totally recall what I read but for some reason I thought the issue ultimately ended up being a loose ground.

My ‘23 did this twice when coming to a stop in the first few months I had it and then hasn’t done it again since. Never did figure out the cause.

Might be completely irrelevant or not useful in comparison. But on my Toyota if I disconnect the battery or if it drains down, I have to reprogram the computer to register engine airflow. It starts fine, runs fine at speed but when you slow down at a light or stop it will die. On the Toyota it is a key on key off sequence, then let it idle parked, but shifted to drive for a few minutes. Then it runs fine. Again not sure it’s relevant but might be something to look at.

I'll check it out

Toyota must have invented the Hokie-Pokie
First time it did this I was completely lost as to why it was not running right. Why would it not run smooth after a battery change, who knew. Thankfully we live in a time of Google and Youtube video for a quick fix. Even though I miss the old vehicle specific repair manuals at times. The last book I had was on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler. Brings back memories growing up helping dad work on card in the 80s and 90s as a kid.

I had this happen once with my ‘24. I slowed down and while making a right into a driveway entrance to a parking lot/thru street. Truck cutoff with 1/3 still hanging out in the road/turning lane.

I make this turn numerous times daily, only happened once. ‍ head scratcher!

I would put some weight to the possibility of a ground issue or something similar. I had very rough starts a few months ago, like the starter was going out. Battery had been replaced a few months prior so I assumed it was not the battery. I tightened the connections to the starter motor and no problems since. Also since it is a new truck, did you ever check the fuses under the hood? That was a recommendation when I got mine and one of the first things I did was to make sure all of the fuses were fully pushed in, I didn't count but I would say at least 1/3 of mine were not all the way in.

I checked all the fuses and reseated about half of them. I'm leaning towards a loose ground also, but where do you begin....

This happened to me once a couple months ago. I was turning into a shopping center and just shut off. Put it in park and started right up. II don't have much faith in dealers to take it seriously. It just reminds me I am glad I got a 7 year unlimited mileage warranty. It looks like I may need it down the road. This thing has several electronic gremlins.

When this happened to my wife's 2018 Jeep, it turned out to be low oil level. When she would make a hard left at the end of our gravel road engine would shut down. Took forever to figure it out. I guess there must have been an oil level sensor that just barely did detect no oil in a sharp turn? Very odd the engine would shut down though.... I started watching oil level extremely closely after that.

Oil level sensor wouldn't shut off the engine.

I didn't think so either. But after two dealership visits and discovering that her new Jeep liked to consume oil, 3 or 4 quarts were put back in and the engine shut down never happened again. I started watching oil level on a weekly basis after that, until they finally did a TSB to fix it.
