Remote start with tailgate open

Hello everyone,

I have a 2024 Ram 2500 Big horn, 6.7 Cummins. I love the truck but I want to know if there is a setting for being able to remote start the truck with the tailgate open. I'm often in and out of the bed at my house and the next morning ready to leave for work it wont remote start. I look out and the tailgate is open. Very frustrating. Is there any way to fix this issue?

No kidding. Thankfully that is not a thing for 2020 power wagons. I dont even have a tailgate

The only thing I found was tailgate light indicator nothing about a sensor that was under the BCM. Is there another area I need to find it in?

I actually never figured it out. I tried disabling the sensor and it still won’t remote start. I’ll try again today.
