I went with Jscan as I thought it dedicated to CDJR vehicles more than alphaobd. Did I get the wrong app?
Trying to start out simple and activate front halogen fog lights. I keep getting an error message in the jscan app. "This adaptation won't work on this vehicle data returned by ECU don't match our pattern" I've messaged jscan but they are off line as it's night wherever it is they are.

Are you using a security gateway bypass cable? If not, you won't be able to make changes in the BCM.

Yes, the one from koadtech, checked it twice for orientation before I plugged it in. The app pulled up the truck vin so it's talking to it through the mx adapter.

I use alfaobd not jscan as do most members on this forum. I have no knowledge of jscan. Hopefully someone else will jump in and help. Good luck!

Red i think I went the wrong direction on this one, got sucked in by the price of the app and the claim it could do mileage and better luck with hours. And program remote start fobs.

What exact steps are you performing, starting at the vehicle selection screen?

Ram dj 2500.
Jimmy07 from there I'd have to get back in the truck and write things down as I can't readily remember .

With JScan I have done these mods to my truck.

- Changed TPMS tire pressure to run lower pressure

- Enabled gear display so it is always on

- Disabled fog light drop out when headlight are switched to high beam

Not a modification but JScan read and cleared the code when my thermostat stopped working correctly.

Jscan has gotten back with me today, lots of suggestions to try. Before trying again to generate a report for them I rechecked the firmware on my obd module it said it was up to date and the latest version but I downloaded it again anyway. Went back into jscan no more error messages and fog lights activated. Bam lickity split. As always I appreciate the replys and suggestions.

Make sure the KAOdTECH bypass is plugged into the correct can blocks. If they are swapped I think that’s the message you’ll get
