Looks like we will have identical trucks lol. Jut ordered mine the 7th, so anxiously waiting now. My '21 Laramie 3500 SRW CC has been great and it pulls a 16.5K 5th wheel with no issuesJust an update on my experience with the new truck purchased April 2nd. Currently have 2,263 miles on my 25 3500 CC DRW LB Laramie, started thinking about oil filters. Called dealership parts dept. They are unable to order filters for at least 45 days per the system. Called Ram customer care, they can only expedite orders from dealership. Spoke to Manager, they stated the part is not available at my dealer or any other dealer and there is no action they can take at this time. Guess we have to wait and see when we can get the filters. As far as driving, I have towed 13k gooseneck 5th wheel rv for approx 1,000 miles and since making sure all the fuses were seated in the engine compartment I have had no fault codes. Pulled like a mule and shifts are smooth. I did find the tire fill assist feature where I was able to adjust the pressure settings. They were maxed out, and after adjusting them to 80 front and 65 rear I no longer recieved the tire fill warning. Truck was worth the wait!
I wonder if the initial/earlier date was a generic estimate to get it to Texas, and then it updates from there since you're way over in VT?The latest update as of yesterday now shows a delivery date of June 1st instead of May 15th.
Multi-billion dollar company can't figure out simple logistics and tracking, a website, or simple vehicle options. Pathetic. Makes you wonder how they're still afloat. Also makes you wonder what other aspects of the business they skimp on. Design? Quality of parts?Mine moved almost every week. Most of the time further out. As it got close to being at dealership, I would get a date for the next week. 2 days before delivery date, it would push back a week. That happened for like a month.
Does the dealer not do a full detail on it during PDI before they "deliver" it to you?My truck arrived at the dealership today. It looks absolutely like crap! It’s a shame Ram would allow a brand new custom ordered truck to arrive like this. It is full of sand including on the inside! All of the trim and plastic is faded out into that ugly whitish black color. The truck looks like it is 10 years old already. What a joke!
Do you have any photos of how it arrived? I’m assuming you declined delivery? My truck arrived at the dealership today. It looks absolutely like crap! The one I looked at here in Nebraska that was staged to go into PDI was the same way you described. Driver's carpet was almost ruined from the mud embedded in it.
Refuse it then. Teach them a lesson. They surely won't learn anything if people just accept it.Yes, they will. I just am friends with them and was able to see it right after it came off the truck. The full detail won't fix the bleached out plastic/trim that already looks years old nor will the interior ever be "new car" clean. The plastic on the rear bumper is white! Same with the plastic molding on the tailgate and bed rails. It is unacceptable to deliver new, custom ordered trucks in this condition.
They all look that way when they arrive.
I agree with you that they look bad. I made the mistake back in 2020. And looked prior to it being detailed. Train ride is brutal.
That is too bad. Are you going to have them order it again? Can they replace the parts that are not acceptable? Not like this. The dealer called me and the first thing they said to me was "well your truck is here, but the bad news is that you won't want to accept it."

How is it possible the plastic could already be faded on a brand new truck? If that's the case then I'd think they have a huge problem if it's bad in just a few weeks. Something has gone terribly wrong. My truck arrived at the dealership today. It looks absolutely like crap! It’s a shame Ram would allow a brand new custom ordered truck to arrive like this. Wow. I didn't accept my ordered truck with 5k in damages. 22k...Holy $#!+. I also wasn't inclined to wait another 3-5 months for a truck. Found one local that had all my must haves and just didn't have the Good Year tires.Yea, they already put in a replacement order. The truck that arrived today has $22k in damages that Ram has already given the dealer the greenlight to fix.
