Biodiesel confusion in California

Just noticed on a couple fuel pumps here in California an orange sticker that is NEW. "94% biomass-based diesel blend"....contains MORE than 20 percent biomassed-based diesel or biodiesel on Chevron fuel pump. The top sticker shows biodiesel between 5 and 20 percent...B20, and have been using that fuel for months, as it complies with cummins.

The owners manual on my 2022 Ram 2500 6.7 (75000miles) states B20 is ok.

Per the owners manual pg.449 "The use of blends greater than 20% is not approved".

Had blackstone oil reports in the past and all are good. I change oil/filter every 5000-7000 miles and fuel filters 6000-7000 miles. Some blogs have been reporting same stickers on biodiesel pumps, but no clear answer if OK or do not use.

Anyone have any idea if I should avoid this fuel?

It's likely R94 which is a good fuel, but with that vague labeling it's hard to tell what it is exactly
 
The wording of the required/mandatory "contains more than 20%" is very misleading. It's R94 and perfectly good to run.

Thanks for the info, the Cummins link was helpful (Cetane levels etc....) Called cummins they told me to call Stellantis, they didnt know anything and told me to call dealership?? Dealership said to talk to Stellantis???? All gave me run around. Checked google and fuel websites again and couldnt find anything specific for the labels here in nutty Calif. on the 94% biomass diesel blend. Youtube, and other articles confirmed its very confusing to the buyer to get the right fuel. Shopping different fuel is somewhat difficult when traveling and pulling livestock and need fuel. The only thing I have control is fuel near my home base. Fortunately Im a filter replacement owner that replaces fuel/oil/ccv etc... way more often than recommended by the manual. Fuel filters will plug up more often with the bio stuff per info online. One thing for sure is that the biodiesel does not perform well in very cold areas- will gel up. Thanks again.
 
In California, you have two options: blended fossil fuel (Bxx) or Renewable (Rxx)
I switched to Renewable on my two trucks.

This is probably not ok, as this is sounds like another way to sneak in and create pre-mature failures in diesels. Don't put anything past Gavon, he's the best CON on the planet and it wouldn't surprise me if he and CARB cooked up something to punish diesel owners without any regard. Thanks for the head's up!
