Firestone Transforce AT2

With in the first 200 miles Of having them on my 2025 3500 I switched to Continental TeraiContacts.
My 3500 even after letting 20% of air out, they behaved badly . Rough and just plain noisy.
Truck feels much better + we tow mainly 90% on asphalt, so no need for A/T tire.

Had an unrepairable rear tire. Wanted the tires to match but only the AT2 was available. I just ordered the other three. On the wet roads in FL, I haven't had any issues. Just the tread life wasn't great. My tire guy tells me they are an upgrade from the AT's. Having both on my truck, I can see a difference in the side wall and center tread. They said they are rated to 55,000. Time will tell. I put Michelins on my wife's 1500 an they've been great. I'll probably go with Michelin's on the 2500 next time.

I asked my tire guy what Firestone stated for tread life and he said 55,000. It's not a warranty. On the Firestone website they show the Destination AT2 tire has a limited warranty to 55,000, but I didn't see any details.

I just got my new 2024 Ram 2500 with the Snow Chief package. It came with the Firestone Transforce AT2 tires, 275-70-R18. Every other Ram 2500 (probably 20 or so) at the dealer has the original style Transforce AT tires, not the AT2. I even looked online at new Rams and only 3 out of 100 or so have the Transforce AT2 tires on them.

I know the reviews of the Transforce AT's are poor but I haven't heard much about the AT2 version.

Is Ram making the switch to the newer AT2's or did I get some type of unicorn?

No, it is Patriot Blue. Forged Blue wasn't available yet when I ordered it in Nov. 2023.

Couldn't be happier getting rid of the Firestones. Worst tire I have ever had in wet or snow.
Happy to have tires I can count on.

This is exactly why i told my wife new tires are a absolute necessity for our new 2025 we ordered, since we have two boats, one of them being almost 6000ibs and that one we launch at a ramp thats pretty steep. Yall are awesome help!
