I have change the tire diameter with Alpha OBD in the past with no troubles. Yesterday I changed the tire diameter with no troubles the first time. I was not happy with my diameter choice. So I changed the diameter again. This was not successful. I not to able to clear the electronic stability control system and trailer brake system warning lights.

Today I went though the process for tire size change 2 more times. Still will not clear I have a ABS code C006A.

Done any one have any info or help to clear or reset this.

Thank you

did you go through the step of initializing the abs
Yes I did. I have redone the whole process probably 10 times now. I have contacted AlfaOBD and have not gotten a reply back. I am afraid I may have to swallow my pride and call a dealership.

The odd thing is I have changed the tire size settings a few times with no troubles. And now I don't know what has changed.

Thanks

Either disconnect your batteries or let the truck sit for 8 hours to let the system do its thing. others have said with alpha drive 10 miles. if none of those options work i have nothing.

I disconnected the battery and no change. I did not think it would do would help but worth a try.

Resolved. After many attempts with Alfa OBD I was not able to correct. But I had to swallow my pride and took my truck to a dealer. The showed Code 006A-54 multimedia axis acceleration sensor - missing calibration. They did the ABS Verification and cleared the code. And the Dealer did NOT charge me. This was pretty surprising to me.

Before I use Alfa OBD again to correct the tire size I will learn what I did wrong or what went wrong. Also will look into Jscan. I emailed Alfa OBD and never have gotten a response from them. The ABS Initialization is not a runnable procedure with Alfa OBD. I don't know if this is a problem or not as I have been able the change the tire size in the past.

ABS Initialization shows a list of items (steps) you are to complete, that's all it is and has never been anything else.

Sounds like you did not run those steps. Glad you got it sorted out.

  1. Your truck model
  2. ABS
  3. ABS Bosch/Continental/Teves/TRW PowerNet MY2019+ PowerNet (or MY2013-18 PowerNet)
  4. Click the "hood open" icon at the bottom
  5. Select "ABS Initialization" from the drop down (read the instructions)
  6. Press Start
  7. Back to the drop down and select "Static ECU Initialization"
  8. Press Start
  9. Click on the "check engine" icon at the bottom
  10. Select "Clear Faults"
  11. Cycle the key to off and then back to run
  12. Click back on the "hood open" icon
  13. Select "Clearing Rolls Information" from the drop down (should be at the bottom of the list)
  14. Cycle key again
  15. Although it doesn't say it, I would click on the "check engine" icon one more time and clear faults
  16. Turn key off and disconnect everything (OBDII connector, etc.)
  17. Start your truck up and take it for a spin

AlfaOBD isn't good at clearing all possible faults as you have to hit each module that may need clearing.
