Laramie 2500 4x4 with RAM Air Suspension. Purchased a fifth wheel hitch weight 1,595 lbs. mind you the fifth wheel is empty as I am driving it from the dealer to the house my 2500 flags “Air suspension temporarily disabled” then “Service Air Suspension Immediately”. Finally make it home and schedule service appointment. Dealer kept 2500 for a couple of days and says all it needed was a system update. Worked fine for about a week then 2500 flags again “Service Air Suspension Immediately”. Grant it I haven’t pulled or hauled anything. Schedule another service appointment. Dealer keeps it for a week and an half. This time they replaced sensor and module. The next day just for fun I hit the auto level and it flags “adjustment limited due to payload” and “service air suspension immediately. Take it back another week and a half they say it is the compressor. A week later I call for an update and the say the issue are the systems lines that got pinched in between the bed and the frame. To fix it would not be covered under warranty. That I must have modified and had the lines rerouted as the lines are not routed like that. The only modification is a bed cover and Andersen hitch.. Told the dealer thats how it came from the factory and it could have been due to the failure of the air suspension. Dealer said the lines are not routed that way from the factory. Then told dealer might have been their mechanics since they replaced sensors, modules and the components. Anyone experience similar? Thinking of Arbitration. Thoughts.

You post is a bit lacking in detail around the "Purchased a fifth wheel hitch," but it looks to me like whomever installed the 5th wheel hitch setup lifted your bed, possibly bent the crossmember in the process and shoved that wire loom under the bed. It's clear the strap to hold it to the frame that should be plugged into that hole on the side of the frame is laying up on the frame rail top. Too dark and late to go look at mine, but that's my best guess.

If the 5th wheel seller installed the hitch setup, I'd be all over them for this. If not and the dealer is the only one that worked on it, it's probably their "technicians."

Did you buy this truck used?

My 2500 comes with the puck system. The Andersen hitch use the puck systems. No need to lift bed. Had a travel trailer and upgraded to a 34ft, weight 9175 lbs, hitch 1575, fifth wheel. Bought my 2500 new from same dealer.

Find a new dealership. Sounds like the pinched harness should have been found the first go around.

Someone lifted that bed and moved that cabling/hose.

I looked at my 3500 today and the crossmembers are flat/square and the cables are on the passenger side and go from the outside of the frame up over the frame rail to the inside well ahead of that crossmember where they are then attached to the rest of the system.

Someone messed that up and it was unlikely it was the factory.
