Just curious if anyone has had any issues with a dual battery set up on the right passenger side of the engine bay with overheating the battery.
I have seen batteries when they are exposed to high temp heat for long periods of time to begin swelling and splitting. Mind you the batteries I have seen are not in vehicles but in buildings for emergency back up.

My concern is once it is sitting on the bracket made of all metal, will it cause issues or shorten the life of the battery. Thanks

Haven't seen any issue with this since the 4.5 gen was released in 2019. The diesels come with 2 and they sit on plastic, but just one side sitting in a metal cradle shouldn’t cause any more harm then already being exposed to high under hood temps..

Agreed expecially since the passenger side battery is right by the exhaust and turbo if there was an issue we would have seen it by now
