I appreciate both interiors. Overall, the GMC has better fit and finish, especially on the outside, IMO, and better materials overall with the possible exception of the leather/stitching/patterns on the seats. My previous RAM was very comfortable and well appointed, but the headliner was tissue-thin. In the GMC, the headliner is suede. Very nice touch. As for the seat comfort, that is definitely a subjective thing. We once had a van that I could not drive for more than a few hours at a time because the seats were awful. My wife, OTOH, loved them. Good thing, it was her van. Lol As far as the exhaust brake, also a subjective thing. It will almost never affect me. At the end of the day, remember, my go-to was the RAM but I can't get it how I want it so I'm giving GMC a shot. Possibly the last truck I will own so I hope it works out. If not, and if Stellantis gets its act together, I'll go back to RAM.
