2025 RAM HD Builds and Orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I saw that the media embargo on “driving impressions” is set to expire in March 18. I’m hoping this means at midnight tonight we’ll be flooded with real driving reviews from TFL and others.

Perhaps not of the caliber of TFL, but others have posted impressions. I'm anticipating some lethargic engine braking with the 2 new gears, myself - hope I'm wrong. Even though they seem excited in the videos, I don't know how much experience they have to reflect upon. There is a little bit of cringe content in there too, but it may hold you over until more reviews are available.

My order is still on its way. Debating as to whether I have the dealer PDI. I'm already detailing my 2008, might as well detail the 2025 when it arrives.

Yep. Seen these as well!

Picked it up today. Rides sweet. Much to like. I liked my limited trim level better, but this is a great truck. Now I’m going driving…
empty two wheel fuel efficiency after 125 miles on truck: ~20 mpg hwy, 17 mpg around town. transmission seems to do very well. hope to put under load later this week

Nov 20 order, came into dealer on Thursday. It’s back at the dealer now for what seems like a leak on the charge pipe.

What trim is this? Love those wheels.
Laramie, kind of missing my Limited interior but the difference from fully loaded Laramie to Limited was quite a bit more than it was in 2022. Took it straight home from the dealer and put on full Thuren 2” kit and Thuren rear trackbar. Will also be putting on color matched oem flares as soon as I get ppf on them.

Those are not factory wheels and it's lifted.

And Momo wheels...

Can you tell me your payload numbers? I also have a SRW on order, pretty much setup exactly like yours except Limited.

PDI and detail is 2 different things. Pre-Delivery Inspection is what they get paid to do and they do it before you take it. I never have the dealer detail anything I buy.

Hell, you risk them farking up the paint if they wash it. I told mine, touchless wash only or leave it.

Most, especially light colors, will probably need some iron deposit removal or minor paint correction if you're anal about that stuff. White is the worst showing the iron (that comes from the train ride).

I can check it next week. I took it back to the dealer yesterday and left town for the rest of the week.

Hell no they don't. I wash off the Mexico dirt. If its real bad, hose off only just to make there are no scratches etc

Yeah - I'll make a request here in the next day or so - touchless wash, and no detail on the paint
Anybody notice the updated Ram HD Catalog has a 13,500 lbs GVWR on the payload specs for the 3500? Thoughts?
Looks like its 5500 lb payload for Laramie CC LB DRW - I think that jives with the 14,000 GVWR.

Picked mine up last night and was disappointed right off the bat.... no 360 camera? It's petty I know but one would think a Laramie level 2 plus would have everything. I'll have to live without it but I really like it in my wife's Bronco. Driving is very quiet, easy handling but after reading some of these other guys reviews on how fast it is..... well I was disappointed with this as well. Maybe it accelerates faster than I think being as smooth and quiet as it is? Full engine brake in tow/haul didn't get up to 2k rpm like my '16 dually with the Aisin did but you can hear it for sure but I like that high reving downshift. This is very premature as I've only put 30 miles on it so there is a lot to go over yet. I'll be driving 8 hours to Nashville which will be a nice empty road trip. The following week I'll be pulling the dump trailer with Bobcat in it 250 miles each way so I'm looking forward to making it work a little and see how it does. Oh, I also miss the look of the fender flares that used to be standard on Laramie's. Not hating, I just have a lot to get accustomed to, this truck is loaded with tech that I'm not used to coming from a '16 Laramie.

Yea, you specifically need to option the “towing technology group” on the Laramie trim no matter what level you select in order to get the surround view camera.

Looked at my Lonestar(Bighorn) build and Surround View is included. It must come with Level 2 Plus on Lonestar/Bighorn as I didn't option any extra technology stuff. Seems strange that Ram would include that on lower trim and require extra package on higher trim...then again nothing is strange with these people anymore.

I currently have a Laramie and was going to order another one. Mine has Heated/Vented seats. When I noticed the 25 did not have that option(along with a few other things) Ram boxes etc, I elected to go with the limited. I'm glad I looked closely at everything before ordering to make sure I was not disappointed with it missing something like that when it arrived. I also read a review concerning the engine brake. In the review it said it appears to not work the same way do to the 3:42 rear end. Does that make sense? Let us know how it goes after you tow your load with it
