2023 Cluster Swap - Wheel buttons not working

Were you able to get yours working? I bought one from a 2021 and can't get the buttons on my 2024 to work now.

You either need to use an arduino like the OP did, or get a cluster from a 2023-2024 truck.

Thanks for the reply Jimmy. Is that something you can walk me through or is there a write up on the parts and programming needed? I've got one from a 2021 that I can't return and would like to try make it work if at all possible.
 
I have a 2021 evic cluster and I want to put it into my 2024 tradesman, will the Evic work? I have the stock steering wheel with NO Stereo controls. Thanks

Thanks Skupp069! I am so confused on my 2021. I just plug the EV in and the leather steering wheel with stereo controls and everything worked great.

Now I have a 2024 and I think they went to a digital cluster and there is no such thing as an EVIC for a 2024 but can I just get a digital cluster and a 2024 steering wheel and just plug them in or do I need a harness from Jimmy07. Thanks again, Skupp
 
You can also get the cluster that has screen and mechanical gauges and will be plug and plug for your tradesman just needs to be from a 23/24 heavy duty truck.

You can get the full digital cluster from a 23/24DJ .
Change a few settings in the bcm .
Get a conversion harness from Jimmy and you should be all set .

You don’t want to get pre23 cluster as the flash file in it meant for the pre 23 steering wheel control module .
 
Thanks again! Question: In your first paragraph, are you talking about the standard cluster or is the EVIC style panel still available not the digital dash instrument?

Yep it’s still available and yes standard style is still an option .
 
Thank you Scuppy and Jimmy for unraveling this puzzle! I went ahead and bought the 7” cluster from a 2024 HD and a 2023 steering wheel! I will probably remove my cluster and wheel from my 2021 and sell it separately from the 2021.

Next up, I am going to do another 12” UC 5 screen swap on the 2024!
