What ODBII tool for the 2019-2020 3500 HD HO Aisin trucks are out there?

Hoping it will also work for a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan also.

Bought my last reader for my 2013 Ram 2500 in 2017 or so.

OBDlink MX
Use it on my Ram 2016 Ecodiesel, my Ram 2020 HO Cummins and used it on my 2006 Ford F350.

Ditto on the bypass cable.
With my Ezylink tuner, I use their bypass cable because it plugs directly into the tuner

The bypass cable allows the device to bypass RAM softwre locks?

I'll Assume that it also requires a data connection as it link to company servers for data to present on the android device?

OBDlink MX+ appears to be the current one.

Nearly any ELM327 OBD2 reader will work with AlfaOBD, Torque, etc. AlfaOBD recommends the OBDLink MX/MX+ as one of their supported adapters.

I used a $22 BAFX I bought years ago for my older vehicles that worked with AlfaOBD. I only upgraded to the MX+ when the BAFX started doing weird stuff - and it was slow.

The MX+ adds support for iOS* and a free OEM add-on for Ford and GM vehicles. It also offers higher speed than many others. You can get a custom PID file for our trucks to use with Torque (monitoring, clearing faults, etc.)

AlfaOBD is only Android or Windows (50% off second license)

The Koadtech bypass cable you need is to bypass the security gateway module (SGM) in our trucks to allow AlfaOBD to write changes to the BCM.

Received the MX+ and connected to it. I did download the Alpha Demo just to look. Waiting on the new key to arrive. I ordered the security bypass cable also. I will see what the dealer will do when I receive my new key. Or I may download the real AlphcODB and have the remote start already activated!

I use the torque app with a blue tooth OBD2. I really like it.

now the problem is I got a pedal monster and I cant run both at the same time. I have tried 3 different OBD2 splitters. Anyone have any solutions ?

I don't believe so, but honestly never tried. ive had the bypass cable on the truck most all its life.

2020 3500 HO using a pedal commander, otherwise stock. Needing a reader to mainly check codes and clear them. Do you still suggest the OBDlink MX+ ? And I DO NEED the bypass? I ask again, seemed like some comments said yes and some no... I'm swimming in new waters and need pointers. Thank you

RE: clearing codes. Read the post right above yours by the resident expert.

It has been said yes by Jimmy who basically is always correct. However others say they clear codes fine without it. Also when I questioned Banks about it, they insisted that the iDash, which I have will clear codes on my truck without the bypass. I don't know for sure which is correct as I did "clear" a code with mine and it "appeared" to work. However, I was told the particular code I cleared was one that would clear itself anyway the next time the truck started if the fault was not still present. So I may not have "really" cleared anything? I even called Banks again a couple of weeks later and talked to a different support agent and was told the same thing, that the iDash clears codes fine on the 2021 6.7. It would be disappointing indeed if Banks was wrong about something like that, that they advertise the iDash will do. However, I am not a brave enough man to bet on Jimmy being wrong on this! I have just benefitted too many times from his knowledge being spot on.
