Lets see what you are towing!

I KO’d my tongue jack last weekend. Installed a new Lippert tongue jack that rides much higher when stowed. It also can be operated with a drill and 19mm or 3/4” socket which is pretty cool.

Better than what I did to the corner of my tailgate yesterday when trying to hook up to my 5th wheel dump trailer that was buried in the snow bank lol. Ill have to break out the hammer and dollies and paint. Lol I was not happy but its a truck and $h’it happens…

I really like that. I am worried that the new Jack sitting up higher will now not clear my tailgate when my tailgate is open, which means I can’t use my decked drawers with a trailer attached, but your jack looks like the best of both worlds if I am interpreting that correctly

Here's our rig. 2024 Brinkley Z Air 285 travel trailer. Average MPG since new with the trailer in tow is just about 8...
Trailer sits right around 11,500k loaded for travel, we've put around 7k miles on this rig running up and down the west coast and been happy with it overall (could use a few extra ft/lbs of engine braking on the steeper mountains, but hey its a gasser...)

What's your tongue weight?

There's a few more options if you can side mount something.

It wont be perfect when fixed but it wont be this bad, at this point I massaged it quite a bit to get it to close and I gutted the latch as the old one the electronic actuator broke so ill have to replace that but it wont be a big deal to fix. Once I get it close ill have to weld the tear up. Not worth replacing it as its bound to happen again this is the first one in 5 years mind you

Going to show this to my wife to make her feel better about what she did to my tailgate.

Genos tailgate cap should cover 90% of that mess.
Would be great but at 120$ for the part and 155$ shipping plus tax. I could fix 99% of it with a bit of body working I have all the tooling I need and i have a spray booth at the shop so my cost to fix it is almost nothing other than the latch that would be needed either way.

Its a nice product though. If I could find one similar this side of the canuckistan border I would still consider it.

the lippert Amazon jack raises the foot super high and still clears the tailgate so I can use my drawers.

Slight hump where I park, usually my chains don’t drag but you can see I shouldn’t KO this jack foot like the last one. The wide angle makes it look closer to the ground but the trailer is pretty low im running about 6” drop hitch
