Just want a better ride

Hi All
Have a 2022 2500 with the offroad package and the cummins... I don't need a lift just want a better ride. I understand I got a truck to pull and it is a beast but would not mind giving up just a bit to not bounce down a concrete highway!! Any good ideas? Looked at the Thuren and Carli websites but they all want to level or lift.
 
thanks.... had that on my 1500 and it made things worse... Had the timbergrove setup. Problem is you always need some air in it and even just a small amount makes a big difference. great to level out for towing but that was it
 
There is only so much you can do. After all, this is an HD truck. Why not only use this truck for its intended purpose and get another vehicle as an everyday driver? And if it has to be an HD truck I would suggest a Power Wagon. Or if it does not need to be an HD but you still want a truck, how about a TRX, while they still have them. Set that to Baja mode and you will have a very soft ride and power beyond anything you actually need. Yes definitely a costly solution, but it sure would be fun!!!

Did you have the coil spring replacement or just helper air bags. They offer full spring replacements that "should" ride better.

After making sure you're not running too much tire pressure I think you'll find that you can't do much at the stock ride height up front, you need the taller coils of a small lift/level for an improved ride.

This is what I would run on my 2500 to minimize any change in ride height, but also to get a better ride.

Those components will improve your ride, but it is still a HD truck so keep that in mind.
 
I had a 2500 with air form the factory and an aftermarket stiffened rear sway bar and it road pretty nice. I'd say almost as nice as my 1500 with 4-corner air. I don't think the sway bar did anything for the smoothness of the ride, but prevent body roll... allowing for lower tire pressures without creating that squishy 70's Cadillac feeling.

From the factory the air replaces the coils rather than supplementing them... wonder if there are aftermarket systems that do the same.
 
Something must be wrong with your suspension as I have a 3500 Mega Cab, and no way do I bounce down the highway.

While 3500’s are also effected by the expansion joints on some highways, the 2500’s seem to fair worse.

Your front end weight will be more than my 2024 6.4 Hemi Crew Cab 4x4 6’-4” bed truck but my 2 cents is this:

From the dealer my truck rode like a cement truck. Hoping to come as close as possible to the rise of my previous 2016 Ram 1500 crew cab 4x4, I’ve done the following and am satisfied with the results:
Thuren +2” front springs, +1” soft rear springs, front sway bar, front & rear track bar, front track bar bracket, rear LCS Boogie Bump stops.
I tried the Fox 2.0 shocks but replaced them with Rancho 9000’s to get a more compliant ride.
Expensive for sure, but it’s changed me for cursing my truck to liking it.
The LCS bumps stops can be changed in less than a minute, allowing me to take advantage of a big gap between the bump pad and axle when unloaded and then utilize the taller bump stop to supplement the soft rear springs when loaded. If pulled a 13K loaded dump trailer using. WD hitch with satisfactory results.

Try putting 500 lbs in the back of the bed and see if that makes any difference. If nothing else it might help with a direction.

how much do you air down?, any issue with the TPMS? how much did the level kit raise the truck? I am very close to not fitting in my garage!

Go to the scales then use the load and inflation tables, like @CdnHO already mentioned. You can’t use the same pressure as someone else with different sized tires.

You’ll likely have to adjust your TPMS thresholds with JScan or AlfaOBD.
