I have a 2024 2500 Bighorn with the 6.4 gas engine. Is it possible to add OEM remote start using an OEM kef fob? My hood latch does not have any wires connected to it. Thanks!

I've scrolled through almost 40 pages and I can't find anything specific to a 2024 without the hood latch wiring. Ram does not sell the latch with the wiring harness and can't find the part number for the wiring harness.

The 2024 is the same as the 19-23 yes they sell the latch with the wiring you just need the part number which should be in the thread for adding remote start to a 2020

The dealer says that part does not apply to the 23-24 model years. It's probable that RAM has not updated the information for the part but I want to see if someone has successfully done it for a 2024 before I spend the money on a non-refundable part. The thread you're referring to has tons of great info but I didn't see anything where someone has added remote start to a 2023 or 2024 with out the hood latch wiring. I might have missed it in the 747 posts but I went through it a couple of times.

I just completed adding remote start on my 2024 Tradesman 2500 this morning. I used the bypass cable from infotainment, eBay key fob that was recommended by Jimmy07 in the 2020 mega thread, and a vLinker MC+ to connect with JScan.

I do not have the wired hood latch. I cut and tied in a 1k ohm resistor from Amazon to the violet/blue wire under the hood, and routed to a ground post.

Programming was easy following the instructions through the app.

any chance you can take or show me a picture of the Wire, and where its located. I'm gathering its in the connector just in front of the Fuse box under the hood? any help is appreciated. Thank you!!

it’s under the fuse box. One photo shows the (new) white wire going to ground post. Other wire shows my wire going down to the wire harness where it’s spliced. Too cold out (10) to get any better photos right now.

Much appreciated!!!. How in the world did you get that. did you have to remove your fuse box? or can access it from the side??

There are 4 clips on the fuse box, it lifts straight up, but not far. The plug is held in place with some sort of plastic clip that I had pulled loose. Don’t remember if it was the type that slides in or if it was a barbed plastic type. Then unplug the harness and you have a small amount of slack to work with.

Can you share the link to the 1k resistor from Amazon? Thanks.
