Your gun is poop

The semi auto shotguns seem really useful...but there is no more satisfying sound than a pump action, lol. I got a Mossberg 590a1 and can only shoot slugs at my local range. Man this thing kicks like a mule. Once I found a proper stock with a shorter LOP I can manage it now. It's so fun to shoot.

@rockcrawlingdude hhhmmm, good to know. I never would have put anything past the muzzle on a shotgun... Been thinking of getting a light at some point...
I don’t know if it’s a good idea or not having the light way out there but that’s what I like.

Admittedly I shoot at night rarely, while camping. I have had some carbon on my light lens before. It wipes off. I’ve never shot a shotgun at night but I don’t think you can get a light out far enough on a shotgun to get it dirty honestly.

The visibility before you need to shoot is most important imho

Agreed on the pump action. The sound is half of the deterrent. It’s really the universal sound for “go away”.

What stock did you put on?
Nice!! I had a tough time w the stock. The LOP was just too long. I tried a pistol grip and it was better but I couldn't reach the rack button w my thumb. I swapped out for the magpul and I couldn't be happier. Thing is a beast to shoot (only slugs allowed at my local range). Very fun!

Sorry, it just amused me at 1 AM.

Please leave the sticker on it now, just because it’s so the opposite of the tacticool stuff that everyone thinks they need to do.

Reason I left it on there Lmao. Went to the gun club and guys just look at you funny untill you bolt $3500 worth of extras onto a $500 gun lol.

Did you file everything electronically? I waited 107 days for both of mine. I've heard of people getting theirs back in less than 2 weeks.

2 of mine were E-filed through silencer shop kiosk. 2 E-filed through another FFL. Stupid part is i had a few clear last April and these were submitted right after and still took a long time. In Oregon one of our Congress people jobs is to make sure government permits or paper work we pay for is done in a timely manner. They will inquire to the ATF about your suppressors for you and make them speed it up. Last time i was waiting 350day on one and bought 3 more in the mean time, once i contacted the congress person they cleared 4 in one day after a few weeks of contacting congress. i did the same this time and clear 4 more in a day as well. What's Really funny This congress lady is super Anti Gun liberal and here they are helping me get my suppressors out of jail LMAO! The same service should be in every state i would Diffidently look into it if i were you. ATF wait time are at 20 days no reason to hold people up.

I have friends that are getting them cleared in the same week, But have friends that are like me and take forever. My buddies dad Veteran, never been arrested, multiple firearms bought and still at 250 days for a .22lr suppressor. There is no rhyme or reason for it to take so long. they are making it look like they are not holding people up by clearing a bunch but if you happen to send in on their lazy days i think it gets lost in the shuffle.

what your looking for in your state.

They've been getting approved in days lately. Older submissions hit a big backlog.
I just asked a buddy of mine who has 6 cans and he said they've been getting faster every time. His last one only took 12 days.

I purchased mine through a local gun range that hosts most of our local IDPA/USPCA matches so I could check the can out for a match and return it to the shop after. I'm not sure if other states allow this?

Has anyone here that has cans ever added a SBR to their trust? What was the process like? Worth it?

All my NFA stuff is in a gun trust.

If you have a decent trust setup, all you have to do is draft a letter for transferring any asset to the trust. My trust attorney provided all the forms and instructions.

Transfer the lower to the trust via letter, then do a form 1 on it to SBR. Get the trust name laser engraved (requirement is debatable) and assemble your freshly minted SBR.

If it's already an SBR, you have to do the transfer using a Form4 just like a purchase and wait for BATF approval.

In Colorado, because there is a private sale background check required, you have to do a background check on yourself as trustee if it's a "firearm" NFA or not. No sh*t.

That said, all my cans were were purchased by the trust so I've only ever transferred non NFA lowers to the trust prior to Form1 them for SBR.

I did put all my evil "extra" capacity magazines in the trust when they banned them here in CO. No BGC required. :-)
