I have a 22 with the 12" screen. Up until recently when I got a text, it would show up on the home screen for me to push and have the text message read. Now, when I get a text it only beeps and I have to go to the carplay screen to have it read. Did I change something in my phone settings to cause this, or is this a setting in the uconnect system that changed this? For what it is worth I did also recently got the iphone 16 that is connected to the system. I know this is a very minor issue, just seeing if anyone has any ideas. Thanks.

I too have this issue with my 2023. It seemed to start after I updated my iPhone 15 software. I don't know if that is the cause, or if it is a UConnect issue. It is a minor issue, but I'm tired of fighting my Dealer and RAM/Chrysler/Stellantis over the Uconnect issues I had last year. My Dealer (McCarthy CDR) SUCKS. RAM Customer Service is ok, just difficult to get to an Agent. My Agent last year had called ME back to guide me towards the Warranty Dept, and voiced her issues to get this Dealer to respond.

It's a phone setting. Go to Settings, Notifications, Messages, and tap "Show in CarPlay".

Well that’s frustrating. Maybe remove your phone from CarPlay (both on the phone and the truck) and reconnect it?
Yep, did both multiple times and no fix. I suspect Stellantis has not worked on the new iPhone update interfacing with UConnect. Based upon both Apple's slow response to other than device crashing and security issues, changes/fixes will be slow in coming. Stellantis will be slow - period. Based upon my experiences (and other's comments in the past) they seem only willing to respond when a large number of users complain, or it becomes a safety/security issue.
What sucks is neither seems to fully test their updates, though Apple seems quicker to respond.

I have tried several wireless dongles in my 2021 with varying success connecting to my iPhone 14. Has anyone found a dongle that works well for pre MY22 trucks that works well with iPhones?

I've had no CarPlay issues with mine. I had a 14 Pro on iOS 18 and now a 16 Pro on iOS 18, both have run betas and production release software.
