Looking to swap out my stock seats for power seats. what years will fit my truck.

Physically 13-2024 but electronically I think it’s 23-24 (that may be the memory seats im thinking of) but @Jimmy07 should know.

In the middle of doing this right now. Here are my findings since the internet is vague.

2019-2022 seats, while they look the same as 2023-2024 seats are entirely different in respect to wiring harnesses and modules (heated seat and memory / mirror module.)

Currently installing a set of 2019 seats in my 2024 2500 Tradesman. I had to totally replace the driver's seat wiring harness, which is two parts, seat cushion and seat back harness, along with the correct 23-24 heated seat control module and swap my memory seat and mirror module over to the 2019-2022 seat frame.

Once the driver's harness is swapped and heated seat module added, along with AlfaOBD programming, the driver's seat heat function works fine, passenger seat from the 2019 was plug and play with the older harnesses, to add a heated steering wheel, you'll have to add the correct airbag clock spring from a 23-24 with heated wheel.

Long and short of it, 2019-2024 seats will "LIGHTLY" interchange with the correct seat harnesses installed. Otherwise for a bolt in, plug and play it's 2019-2022 and 2023-2024.

Just a forewarning, to get the seat harnesses swapped correctly, it requires removing portions of the seat covers.

Here's my latest picture of testing the driver's seat. Full power track functions and heating elements work. Waiting for my brand new heat elements from the dealer and then i'm going to scalp my 2024 seats, cushions and reinstall them with the new heat elements and harnesses on the 2019 power seat frame.

hi @Musclelogic - can you tell me if the memory module built into the harness or is it a separate unit? my memory module in my 2023 limited has lost its mind, I have "recalibrated" it using the procedure of engine running, move it fully forward and fully back but it won't correctly return to the seat position. Dealer appointments are weeks out so I am toying with just changing it myself as the part is relatively cheap.

Seems like a lot of work...why not just buy a more optioned truck (I am lazy)!!

Like the location of your EDC!!

I'm in the process of adding heated and ventilated parts to my original seats. I have opted to replace the seat harnesses as well rather than add wiring myself. What are the reasons you need to remove portions of the seat covers? Do you just mean unclipping the flaps underneath? I could see running the airbag connector being a pain, but other than that it should all be accessible from under the seat, no?

The MRM is a separate unit located under the driver's seat. It and the wiring harnesses are different parts.

I’m in the same boat here.

Putting seats from a 20 into my 23.
Don’t have the harness part numbers handy?

Thank you
Kindly
