Did you get an owner's manual??

I received the owner's manual from Ram today. Also received a separate manual for the Uconnect radio, and for some reason they sent two copies of that. So now Im wondering.... what did I NOT receive when the doofus who stuffed my shipping envelope mistakenly tossed in a second radio manual instead of the ????? manual?

Here's everything that came with my truck:

/\ Yup. That's exactly what I got in my 2024 2500. And all of that was in an "elegant" drawstring bag. That "owner's manual" is the short version of what's on the RAM website as a PDF.

The only thing extra I got was a white cloth sack with Aux switch wiring parts, a tailgate plug,
Wait, what? You got aux switch wiring parts, like, in case you decide to add a aux dash switch for an accessory? I didn't get that, but it would be handy! Was I supposed to get it? And whats a tailgate plug?

No, If you have the Aux switches you get a parts bag for adding things to the aux switch system. The tailgate plug is a black plastic thing with some electrical caps for when you remove the tailgate you can protect the connections that are left open on the box side of the tailgate circuit

My Bighorn was optioned with only 2 switches, one for exhaust brake and one for tow/haul. Dont know if these are considered "auxiliary switches" but as I understand aux switches on these trucks, it's referring to the lineup of switches (5 or 6 switch locations) on the bottom edge of the center dash panel. My truck has just the two switches and 3 or 4 empty slots. So if I wanted to add another "factory" switch or two, is that what this wiring kit would be used for?

No, those are not aux switches. Here's a good thread if you really wanted to go through the effort to add them. https://hdrams.com/forum/index.php?threads/diy-add-aux-switches-to-19-ram-2500-laramie-6-7l.13229/

Dealer gave me the run around and sent me to the online copy. Called FCA and got them to mail me a hard copy at no charge. Handy to have if you’re in an area with no service.
