Always reading all the negative on the 6.7s. Someone share some good news on high mileage and going strong.

Not super high. My old 04/5.9 was sold 5 years ago with 472K and the fellow is still driving it at over half a million. Motor never opened up.
My current 2019 HO SRW is at 117K and going strong. All I've really done are the updates and the recalls along with the CP4 replacement. I did do an Archoil treatment a few thousand miles ago and the DPF gauge hasn't come off zero since. I've done around a thousand plus miles and 24 hours on each regen since the Archoil. Regens were more noticeable and more often before the treatment. So far, so good. Hope this 6.7 will last like the old 5.9 did?

My 2017 had 148k on it when I traded up for a 22 which only has 58k on it. My old 01 sold it in 2017 with 385k on it, bough it was a 5.9 not a 6.7 Only problems I really had with it aside from a couple vp44’s were self induced bombing it.

The 17 only issue I can recall was the front seal/timing cover leak covered under warranty. The 22 so far aside from recalls was the heated steering wheel went out turned out to be the clockspring. Then there was drivers seat belt quit retracting very well both the above covered under warranty. Neither the 17 or 22 would I consider high mileage maybe the 17 for its age 148k in 4 years but that is still not high mileage

There are surely some haulers on here somewhere who will chime in

gsbrockman over on cumminsforum lists his 2022 5500 hotshot rig mileage in his sig:

Placed into official commercial service on June 2nd, 2022. Currently : 282,071 miles, 721 idle hours, and 4,865 drive hours as of November 23rd, 2024 (Average Miles Per Hour = 58.0)

Tons of 400+ mile 6.7L hotshotters have high millage 6.7s but not many of them use the forums. GSbrockman had 450+ on his 2018 aswell. There is one guy here somewhere with over 400k on his 19 2500 I cant remember his user name

@Aketay

27k on mine as of today. Does that count? Ha

I need to drive the big bitch more.

I started a forum thread similar to this one a couple months ago titled "How Many Miles On Your 4.5 Gen Diesel?" I started it kinda for the same reason as you, to get an idea of how many trucks / forum users are enjoying their late model 6.7's and racking up some miles without all the grief and despair that these forum pages are full of. That thread hasn't received very much attention so... does that mean all the grief and despair is real for nearly everyone??? Holy crap I hope not. My 2024 HO just turned 3700 miles and so far so good LOL

Most people who have no issues you would never see on a forum so asking for milage numbers here is not even 1% of the 6.7 owners out there.

i will be changing oil ever 3-4k miles. maybe that will keep her lasting long. scored a oil change pkg deal locally 5 changes for $39.00 3ea!

I guarantee its garbage oil or the wrong oil and the cheapest filter for $39.00. I dont think the shop can buy 3 gal of oil and filter at their cost for that price. also 3-4k miles is just wasteful it wont make anything last longer in fact most hot shotters and people who have high milage trucks are changing the oil on the 15k+ schedule.

Edit: You have a 6.4L in your power wagon not a 6.7L

I had 120k miles on my 2018 when I traded it in earlier this year, no problems. Have around 14k on the 24, no problems.

Mine is enjoying retirement, going fishing and transporting the big dog around. 492k miles and not many problems. The new truck that replaced it in February already has 112k miles logged.
