Adding Heated Seats

I have a 2022 Ram 2500 Big Horn. Long story short, it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, but was all they had and I needed to replace my truck. I have AlfaOBD and have added several OEM options that I was missing, like folding mirrors, factory LED lights, etc. what I really miss is the heated seats in the front. I got the center stack that has the buttons for them and know the Alfa changes I need to later make but what I’m having a hard time with is the parts. I use find parts by VIN and was told to order these:

68530206AC - Heated Seat Module
68362100AC - Seat Cushion Heated Pad x 2
68362101AC - Seat Back Heated Pad x 2

Have these, but none of the connectors on the heated pads fit the module. Do I have the wrong module? Wrong pads? Need additional parts?

I’ve tried looking around the web and this forum but can’t find what I am needing. The module part number I found somewhere and used on All Mopar Parts came back as incorrect for my truck and was updated to the one I posted above.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need the correct seat cushion wiring harnesses and seat back harnesses.

So there is a harness that the pads plug into that then goes to the control module? If so, would these possibly already be on the seats? And if not, do you know the part numbers?

They do link the pads to the heated seat module, and they won’t be present in the seats. There’s a few part numbers for each harness depending on options, and I can probably guess which ones they are, but not enough to be 100% sure.

Does anyone here know which wires under the seat go to the seat cushion heated pad (2020 3500 Laramie)?
I want to put a switch inline with the cushion pad on my Laramie, so I can run the lumbar heat with the butt heat off.

@Jimmy07 I have purchased several of your harnesses already, worth every penny, and would also love to add the heated rear seat feature to my 22 Ram. There is plug already under each seat in back with nothing plugged into them. I can only assume they supply the heated/ventilated seat option. Any Insite into this mod would be greatly appreciated.

I know this is from a few years back, but figured I'd chime in as it could be valuable to others. This was discussed and seemingly scrapped as a possibility in another thread: Here

@Jimmy07 Would you be willing to take a stab at what the seat wiring harness would be for a 2022 Tradesman?
I don't know the harnesses for just heated seats, but the fully loaded harness is basically the same price.
Part numbers
68395859 driver cushion harness
68395869 driver back harness
68468115 passenger cushion harness
68395885 passenger back harness

Passenger harnesses plug into each other and then the body harness going into the floor. Driver harnesses are a mixture of plugging into each other and into the module.

I would just say double check in some way before purchasing anything electrical from dealerships because they typically don't accept returns on anything electrical.

There is no ventilated seats option for the rear seats. To add heat to the rear seats, you'll need the heating pads, under seat harnesses, Comfort Rear Seat Module (CRSM), switches that go on the back of the front center console or center seat, and the harnesses related to that. And probably some other stuff that I'm forgetting. There is no soft buttons for the rear seat heat so you can't get away with just adding the codes with AlfaOBD like the fronts. You actually need the hard buttons.

So, was looking to do this for my 2019 Ram 2500… I would need an additional wiring harness? Where do the switches go for the pad? Did a quick google search to see what I needed to purchase and was quite confused, found this post and I thought maybe someone could offer assistance? Thanks!

Yes, the pads need additional wiring under the seat, but the wiring under the carpet that connects to that wiring is already there from factory. You likely would also need the comfort seat and wheel module (CSWM) that controls the heated/ventilated seats and heated steering wheel. The switches are hard buttons on the center stack, and there are also soft buttons on the radio screen that can be activated with AlfaOBD. You don't necessarily need the hard buttons since everything can be activated and work with just the soft buttons.

Sweet thank you, for the actual heating pad my buddy said he did this and had to carve out the foam from the seat? Is that the only way to actually go about this? Where are you guys ordering your parts from Amazon? Thanks in advance!

I have been working on getting a heated wheel working. I got a new wheel, clock spring, and the module, but I am missing the wiring under the passenger seat. I have a manual passenger seat so guess that's why there is nothing there. I am wondering if that's all that is left so I can get the module plugged in then do the programming updates (I upgraded to a 12" Uconnect5 awhile back). I will upgrade the seats eventually. That part# (68468115) above said it was only for 3500's, wonder why they would have different ones, but can anyone confirm if this is the right one for a 2021 2500 Bighorn? Thanks!
