I just picked up a gently used 2024 tradesman PW for a steal with the black friday sales.

Question for y'all b/c I am very new to PW's
( I have been searching all these tire size's )
I am curious about what you all who use your PW's as daily driver's or farm trucks are running tire size wise.

I am a grazing manager for cattle operations. So I drive all the forest, blm, private ranch roads and need to be able to tow a bumper pull horse trailer.
Alot of the forest , and wildfire guys drive these trucks but they usually just keep the same tire size due to government regulations.

I was wondering what you found the sweet spot to be between
285/75/17
305/70/17
315/7017
35/12.5/17
Thanks

35/12.5/17.
Good selection of AT-Tires (which is probably what you want), look better than the stock 33's and no modifications required to fit.

I would start with a 10 ply or load range E tire first. Pick one with a good 3 ply sidewall also. I personally would not go over a 35 inch tall tire especially since you are towing trailers and going from a 33 inch to a 35 will sap some of your power. I like a 315/70r17.

Owning the truck for a grand total of 7 days today, I honestly don't mind the 33' tire so far. Unless you're in serious rocks, the 33's offer plenty of clearance and the added articulation from the PW package should get you damn near anywhere you're describing.

I'll probably wait until these wear out a bit before considering moving to a 35er. I've heard great things about the Mikcey Thompson's which I will probably move to next.

I honestly only changed them out in the first days of ownership because the Duratracs were too aggressive for me, therefore quite loud and likely to wear out pretty fast. So I rather sold them as take-off's.
But in my opinion the 35's are the best option, aesthetically. 37's are too large and don't match the curve of the wheel wells anymore.

I came from an eco-diesel Gladiator on 37 inch patagonia's. The humming of the Duratrac's is like a reminder of what used to be, but what I also don't need to endure any longer, ha!

Im debating also...I actually think 37's look the best but all around I think 35s are the sweet spot plus you can just barely store a spare 35 in the stock location. I don't want to take up space in the bed for a spare 37 on my DD truck.

I may live dangerously, but I just left the 33 spare in place. Worst case (it's a rear tire and AAA isn't coming anytime soon) I'll have to do two tire swaps (spare to front and front to rear).

thanks everyone for chiming in.
I have driven HD trucks most of life.
I am coming from am ford f250
37's are to big for my needs.
I think anywhere between 33-35 will be great. (seems to be the general consensus)
On My fords I have been running a 285/75/18 = 34.5 11.5 its a great size for the back country and everyday uses.
I would have gone with that size but did not want to buy new wheels.
Closet thing to that is 305/70/17 but not alot of availability in that size.
So 315 or 35 it will be
I will probably go with general grabber atx or the new bfg Ko3 b/c a local tire shop gives us a discount on those two brands.

Most 35s will measure out at about 34.5, so it sounds like that’s exactly what you’re looking for.

Are any of those better than the others for use with snow chains ? Thanks

For snow chains a mud tire is usually not as good since the chains will fit in between the lugs more than a all terrain tire.

None of that sounds like extreme duty to me.
Go bigger if you start banging up the underside, dragging diffs.
Armored everything up and still stock tires, myself. Contemplating 35s next time because of elk hunting, meh.
