So after picking up a metal frame for my m&p 2.0 full-size I had a spare polymer full size frame. I traded around and got a used Floyd’s milled compact slide, barrel and recoil spring so now I have assembled a compact slide full size frame (think G45) 17rd/4” out of the spare frame.

There are a lot of good options out there. It depends on your use what the best one would be. Is it only 9mm carbine or do you want to use it on other things?Question for all of you with hearing protection devices on your firearms. I am looking for a descent one for my 9mm carbine. Doesn’t have to be a Cadillac model. Awaiting your input. Thank you
Only want it for my 9mm carbine. Only use it for coyotes from the helicopter. And yes lighter and smaller would be perfect. There are a lot of good options out there. It depends on your use what the best one would be. Is it only 9mm carbine or do you want to use it on other things?
For 9mm I picked up a wolfman which is really good at suppression and is multi caliber. It’s modular and 9mm up to 5.56 capable. I can run it on just about anything. This comes with downsides as it is larger diameter than other 9mm cans and therefore heavier. If you didn’t want to use it on other things I would recommend a lighter and smaller can dedicated to 9mm

^ great suggestionObsidian 45 or 9. Very durable been around a long time. Price is pretty reasonable.
^ great suggestion
Mojave 9 is even lighter if you want to get into more expensive 3d printed cans to get the lightest possible can
Example Obsidian is 12oz in long config and Mojave is 9oz in long config
For sure those fancy ones are highI have that one in jail. My buddy has one and has a nice note to it. It does cost a little more, my Obsidian 45 i got for $750. mojave was $990
I have a REX Silentium .358cal can on my home-built AR-9 and it functions perfect. Reduces noise by alot and works well on my 10" barrel AR with any kind of ammo I run through it.Only want it for my 9mm carbine. Only use it for coyotes from the helicopter. That is an awesome valueI have a REX Silentium .358cal can on my home-built AR-9 and it functions perfect. Reduces noise by alot and works well on my 10" barrel AR with any kind of ammo I run through it.
Only downside is the size, it's short but fat. I paid about $450 for mine at LGS.
Specs from their website show it to be 5.5" and 11.3oz so it's not too bad on the end of my small carbine. I also bought their rimfire can for $425ish and it seems to be really good quality for the price. View attachment 79598

The good ones are expensive as heck. The more forward you can get the light the more useful light you get. I like my light out in front of the muzzle or as far out as I can get it. I like Surefire scout lights. Finally picked up my first boomstick. Home/RV defense purposes.
Mossberg 590 18.5" barrel. Swapped the forend for a Magpul M-Lok so I can stick a light on there. Picked up a small one, but it sat too close to the barrel and ended up with far more barrel shadow than useable light. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has one that isn't unreasonably expensive.

Agreed on the pump action. The sound is half of the deterrent. It’s really the universal sound for “go away”.The semi auto shotguns seem really useful...but there is no more satisfying sound than a pump action, lol. I got a Mossberg 590a1 and can only shoot slugs at my local range. Man this thing kicks like a mule. Once I found a proper stock with a shorter LOP I can manage it now. It's so fun to shoot.
@rockcrawlingdude hhhmmm, good to know. I never would have put anything past the muzzle on a shotgun... Been thinking of getting a light at some point...
