Wasnt sure where to put this so move if you feel its best.

Currently 2024 ram 3500. Looking to setup with a radio that is capable of GMRS and or CB, or both. Where have you been installing your setups? Im considering in the center console where it can be semi hidden and accessible.

primary use is for when im traveling with the convoy behind me. most if not all of us sit on GMRS hand helds and id much rather have a perm mounted solution.

what has worked for you?

Check out the Midland MXT-275 or 575. All the controls are in the handset, so there's no faceplate to "semi-hide", and if you unplug the mic it's all invisible.

Im also running the mxt-275. I have the main unit mounted behind the kick panel below the steering wheel with a plug for the hand held unit mounted in the center console. I also mounted a speaker in the center dash mount.

A piece of vinyl maybe 1/4 inch thick heated with heat gun to allow bend, stuck in map pocket. 2m/7cm and gmrs on it. Cb down low under dash
Can you program the midland through chirp? also is transmit locked or can you broadcast out on gmrs? i do have my license.

*edit* read into it, you cant program it. but that shouldnt be an issue since all my other radios i can so i can set what ever frequency's i want on those.
